I raved about Bam before the draft and desperately wanted him for my Hawks at 19. He’s already showing he’s got the goods to be a great player. 29 and 11 yesterday.

I know it’s just summer league, but there’s definitely a good correlation between having a really solid summer league and being able to make a mark in the league. If you’re not one of the standouts there, chances are it will be a nonexistent /rough rookie year.

He’s going to be an ideal small ball 5 or new age 4. He’s incredibly fluid, can defend 2-5, and his jumper looks smooth and he’s confident in it.

Every year, I have a player outside of the obvious top 5 guys who I become a massive fan of. 2015 was Booker. 2016 was Yabusele (if he ever makes his way over), and 2017 was Bam. Definitely not always a good guessed though…I thought Beasley would be a hall of famer coming off his absurd freshman year.

Anyone else you’ve loved this Summer League so far? Leaf, Travis Leslie, Tatum, Fultz, and Brown, Ellenson, Kennard, and Lorenzo Brown have all looked really good.

I was a big fan of Donovan Mitchell all year and he balled out yesterday

Josh Huestis, Vince Hunter, and Dakari Johnson have been good for OKC so far. Huestis needs to play all of Singler’s minutes

Abdel Nader came out of nowhere and had himself a good first game yesterday

Nader was the ROY in the D-League this past year with some really impressive moments. Not exactly out of nowhere.

I would say 90% of people have never heard of this guy before. I’ve literally never seen his name on twitter or here anywhere

He was drafted in the second round of the 2016 draft. Not a great look if 90% of users haven’t heard of him.

A whole lot of guys drafted in the 2nd round never even see the court, so it’s not crazy to think that most people don’t memorize every pick in every draft

Lorenzo Brown looks good every year in summer league. It’s a shame he can’t find a spot in the league

Bam Bam has been great so far. Has shown a lot of touch and some moves driving to the rim that is rare  to see for a guy his size. Him playing the 4 next to Whiteside could be some serious bully ball.

I have really liked Kennard so far. He will have a long NBA career shorting the ball.

It will be hard for bam to play alongside Whiteside. They both have the same type of game. They actually need a Chris bosh type player next to Whiteside.

I like how he bammed the ring yesterday lol, he’s speed and quickness is so fun to watch, he looks fluid whille handling the ball at times in one instance on a fastbreak. His motor alone will get minutes this season, combine that with his athleticism and good stroke he’ll be fun to watch

Hes hitting all kinds of midrange jumpers in assorted ways. Kind of surprised he fell to Miami now. You gotta think NBA scouts would be all over him after scheduling or attending workouts had they seen some offensive creating abillity due to his solid defense, tenacious rebounding and elite athletisism.

He had a great game in the summer league and with a name like Bam I’d love to see him in the dunk contest. It might be too much to hope he can ever dunk like NJ era K-Mart!
