The GoatParticipant4 point win for Australia. They play well together because they are all role players and just do what they know has worked for them. Mills, Delly, Baynes and Bogut all have at least one NBA championship ring, so they have been around teams that have got the job done. American media will have the knives out now. Pressure is on. Greece and Serbia have tough teams in this tournament so if they expect to win, the US better switch on or prepare to be bounced.

OhCanada-ParticipantCanada destroyed Australia but also lost to them.

ChoppyParticipantThat Canada game was our first, so we might have been a bit rusty. Having said that, Canada played really well that first game. It just goes to show that this World Cup is going to be wide open with many teams a chance of going a long way.

OhCanada-ParticipantTo be fair in that 1st Canada/Australia game we got really hot from 3 which pretty much negates any gameplan a new group could possibly have.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantI didn’t know Bill Maher did First Take.
The hot handed opposing guard and a stagnant iso offense when the shooters can’t buy a shot has long been the storyline of a Team USA defeat. This probably won’t be the last one. Good teams aren’t going to be afraid of them. A number of them will be able to hang for a half, but Australia didn’t fade. They withstood the third quarter run that saw the US get up double digits and came right back and took the lead again.

BeastMode716ParticipantBut Veteran Professional ball players – grow @ss men in their late 20"s & 30’s are very tough to win against
And certainly there was no way they were going to just run over the Boomers
I think team USA will grow & become good – it will just take time
But this isn’t the 80’s – the whole world plays Basketball now at a pretty high level
