steviechillzParticipant2 Months ago, the ESPNU100 prospect and McDonald’s All American forward, Amile Jefferson, said that he would be choosing the school he would sign with "soon". He still hasn’t decided and still hasn’t said when that decision will be. He is considering 4 schools, Kentucky, NC State, Duke, and Villanova. As a member of the Wolfpack, I am tired of waiting for this guy to commit. Out of all those teams mentitoned above we have the best offer for him. We can give him some good playing ime, and the ability to win the National Championship. Kentucky can offer him contention for a national championship and a one-and-done culuture, Duke can give him all the playing time he can get but not necessarily the chance to win a national championship, and all really Villanova can offer him is the chance to stay near his hometown and unlimited playing time due to the depth issues in PA.
Seriously, Amile Jefferson needs to make a decision. The only thing longer than a NHL Hockey Triple OT Game, is the Amile Jefferson recruitment…

IknoBall12Participantand honestly im starting not to care anymore. idk if hes still taking visits and trying to enjoy the process still or what but you would think he would at least narrow it down to 2 schools. besides i feel like whatever school he goes to will prob end up not liking him seeing as his production wont match the time hes making schools wait

UNCbasketballbumParticipantyeah, I wrote a post not long ago about having a deadline for recruits to make their decision. Amille Jefferson’s recruitment is beyond ridiculous. Summer classes are about to start and he STILL hasn’t made a college decision. Embarrassing.

akhan786ParticipantI’ve stopped caring about recruiting.
Waiting on baited breath for the decision of a 17 year old isn’t good for the health.

gopack10ParticipantI’m a huge State fan so I’ve followed his recruitment very closely. I believe it was back in late October or early November that Amile was "close" to making a decision. He had visited State, Villanova, Stanford and a few other schools on his list. He was set to make a decision when Coach K decided to offer him. That essentially re-started his recruiting process. Now here we are over 6 months later and he is still yet to make a decision.
His decision has been pushed back and pushed back too many times for me to count. First he was waiting for his high school season to end. Then he was waiting for Mason Plumlee’s decision, then it was CJ Leslie’s decision, then it was Nerlens Noel, then Tony Parker, then Anthony Bennett and now that all of those players have made their decisions (at least the ones that would impact Jefferson) we are still waiting.
I know that a lot of fans are getting sick of this "game" and if I were the coaches I would be sick of it as well. Take time to make your decision so that you don’t regret it but I think that this is more about Amile being wishy-washy and not really wanting to make a decision.
It wouldn’t surprise me if he waited until Wednesday the 16th at the last possible second before we hear anything.

akhan786ParticipantActually Adam Zagoria confirmed he’d make his decision next Wednesday.
Kentucky seems to be getting the most buzz but all three schools are hearing good things from him.
It really is a toss up to where he goes.

sheltwon3ParticipantWow you guys are a little too personal about a kids decision. Seriously this is a decision that will strongly affect his future. He should be able to take all the time he needs to make the best decision. Some colleges have a plan A and B. 3 of those schools need to go with plan B.

delfamParticipantWhy would these schools even want him? I’ve seen him play and he’s complete garbage, he can’t do anything of contribution on the court and is so skinny he’ll get banged around in college. He’s kinda like C.J. Leslie but a completely trashier version.

BasterdInABasketParticipant"We can give him some good playing ime, and the ability to win the National Championship"
"Duke can give him all the playing time he can get but not necessarily the chance to win a national championship"
sounds about right

SpacegrassParticipantOnly reason anybody cares about this a little is because the kid is taking forever. I wasn’t all that impressed with him the 3 times I saw him play and I don’t understand why NCSU fans want him so bad. NCSU needs big guys and this guy is a perimeter 4/3 and they already have TJ Warren on board who at least has the build and bulk to play PF in college and is a 6’8 combo forward like Jefferson. If I were NCSU I would use my resources on a player that is a better fit for what you need in the 2013 class. He just isn’t a difference maker right away at this point and at best he is Jawad Williams who was a nice college player by his Jr and Sr seasons at UNC but , nothing more.

uknationParticipantLol. So let me get this straight, a kid should have to make a decision about where he is going to spend his college career because someone else (fan) isn’t happy with how long he is taking? That’s a joke right? This is a kids decision that he has to live with, he should be allowed to take as much time as he wants. If a fan is unhappy about that so what. that fan doesn’t have to live with the Decision he makes if it turns out to not be the best one for him. I hope someone you all don’t end up having kids and tell them"hurry up and make a decision of where you want to go to college".

SubZeroParticipantI’m graduating in 2 days and even though I’m not a top 100 recruit or anything, I still haven’t decided either. It’s a decision that will affect my whole future, and I’m not rushing it. I’m making sure I make the right decision, and so is he, because he’ll most likely be at a school for 2-3 years. Don’t be so impatient.

uknationParticipantSubzero I’m tired of you waiting forever to make you’re pick. They should move the last date to decide up because I’m tired of you and other kids taking their time in a decision that is the most important decision of you’re life up to this point. No matter if you pick early or late it doesn’t effect my personally life but for my own selfish reasons I think you should decide now. Lol
