GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI’m seriously losing faith in the Wolves. Hahaha, Kahn’s a dumb@$$. Sign Darko and Pekovic (both unproven centers) for about…oh $5 mil a year. Draft 4 small forwards, trade away one for another unproven small forward. Basically give away Al Jefferson for nothing. Sign ANOTHER point guard (if it’s true that they’re close to signing Luke Ridnour like I’ve read).
I like the deal for Beasley though. And I really do hope at least one of those draft picks is an unprotected first rounder. That said, I think any fan could do a better job GMming than Kahn. What a moron.

torontoraptors10ParticipantWhy would he sign Sessions last season and now he wants to trade him and sign Ridnour to a similar deal? I have no idea what Kahn is doing.

Raef LaFrentzParticipantI’m still a fan.
Real fans never give up hope. Not even when their team’s governing body is run by a mentally handicapped person who just so happens to have a lot of money

joecheck88ParticipantAll I can say is that Kahn acquires picks, drafts players(I guess according to their big board), and now has many assests in which to trade. No guarantee that trades happen but they have alot of young talent in which to trade for proven players. Minny is so young they are like a farm team in baseball. They can trade prospects for people, but thats all I can guess.

Jonboy136ParticipantKahn has a plan, and the faithful can see that he is imitating the Kevin Pritchard model, stockpile depth, draft picks and overseas talent, then wait for the opportunity to score a franchise player, which, lets be honest, is more about luck than anything. Plus, I am sick of people saying that we drafted four sfs this season. We drafted two sfs, in hayward and Johnson, one tweener point forward in Bjelica, and a stash away pf/c bruiser in brazil. Get your facts straight before you decide to hate on the man.

T-WOLF FANParticipantI agree Kahn is a dumbass.. and just about anybody could be a better GM, (except for thegr8st) .
Now there is no one left from the KG trade a few years ago..
It’s hard to have faith in a team when you have dumbass GM’s like Kahn and McHale..Time will tell who was worse.. but atleast Mc Hale got lucky with KG.I am not a bandwagon fan like some people out there.!!

NashyMingParticipantKahn did a few good moves and really deep into the rebuilding process. However, the way he signed players, drafted players, traded players is very weird.
Keep adding similar assets without any balance to the team. He doesn’t seem to have a plan and just keep accumulating assets with similar strengths.
Ramon Sessions was a better PG than Jonny Flynn, yet he signed him to back up Flynn. So what’s the point of signing Sessions? Now, he’s trying to add Ridnour which does not have as high a ceiling as both Sessions and Flynn. What’s the point? I think Rubio would probably never want to join the Wolves with Kahn running the team into ground.
He did some good deals and gambles, but he didn’t know how to put together a team with a PG, a SG, a SF, a PF, and a C.

Jonboy136ParticipantWhat do you think the tpups can get for Kosta Koufos? Just read he was included in the Jefferson trade. Personally, i’d be happy with a second rounder or a nice young developmental level sg. Your thoughts?

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantThe Wolves are doing well, Kahn is doing good. Anybody that can’t see it doesn’t know salary cap basketball or has no idea what shape McHale left the Wolves. They have added quality players at every position…. Ctr Pekovic/Darko,Koufos Forwards Beasley/ Wes Johnson/L. Hayward, Guard Webster/Ridnour?/Nemanja. They have 14 mil worth of cap exception to add additional players. With that they have added 1st rd picks, athleticism and length.
They will be one of the most improved teams in the league… for some odd reason it’s hard for many people to accept this as truth. Time will tell… NBA GM’s are taking notice. Say what you want about trading Jefferson but he’s a large fella coming off major knee surgery and a crippling 42 mil.contract if his knee doesn’t recover. The Wolves will have many young players trying to be top dog with the competition created by the many acquisitions striving to improve and earn playing time on a team looking for an identity.0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/13/2010 - 5:13pm #353714
PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantThe Trade exception the Wolves received is enough to assume either Adre Iguodala or Luol Deng’s contract if they choosed to. There will be numerous opportunities in the next year to make same or similar trades.

TRC1991ParticipantIf Kahn can get Rubio to come over, all unhappiness i feel towards him will magically disappear

bobforteParticipantits actually a really good trade for the twovles i dont know what your talking about. Sure kahns can be a dumbass but this trade was good, getting multiple first rounders. Jefferson is a decent player but he does a lot of the same thing love does for them and this frees up time for their young players. Personally i think it was good move.
