moximusParticipantStumble on this artictle about AR in which Odom had high praises for –
"It’s like looking in the mirror a little," Odom said of Randolph. "He’s also 6-11 (actually, they’re both listed at 6-foot-10), he’s left-handed and he can put the ball on the floor. He’s two times as athletic as I was at that age.
He showed flashes of what he can do last season with the T-Wolves. Afterall he is a athletic freak who handles the ball like a guard and can jump out of the gym.what can we expect from AR in the coming season?

Charlie SheenParticipantHe’d playing in Minny with K-Love, B-Easy, and D-Will ahead of him, he’s not a Center but they’ll play him there and they think Rubio is gonna make the 4 aforementioned guys All Stars.I say 5 pts 4 rebs 13 mins a game

Bmore_DCParticipantthe timberwolves are going to have 4 all-stars? no…
i saw randolph play here in dc and he is def athletic…but very skinny and very immature. he had some nice blocks and then hed take the next play off…he needs to get his head in the game and play hard every time down the floor…i really like his potential…the twolves need to package some of these young players for a legitimate all-star

Scottoant93ParticipantEveryone knows AR worst enemy is himself,he has a horrible work ethic

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantWhen a guy gets to year four and is no better than he was as a rookie, it is hard to think there is more than that has been seen. Randolph got on the bad side of Don Nelson and Mike D’Antoni for heavens sake. Not Larry Brown. Not Nate McMillan. Not Scott Skiles. Not Pat Riley. Don Nelson and Mike D’Antoni!

HarbingerNever seen consistent PT and when hes does he puts on a show. He was in the dog house in GS,in NY he got injured and fell out of rotation early in the season which lead to trade, in MINN kevin love needs to be on the floor at all times.Get him to a team who needs a Pf like the pacers, lakers, celts, nets, and i think he will put up good numbers if Charlie V can grab less then boards a game and START its no reason Anthony doesnt see PT

IndianaBasketballParticipantAs a Pacers fan, I wouldn’t mind it one bit if we gave Anthony Randolph’s potential a chance.

aamir543ParticipantNo Scott, Randolph is his own 2nd worst enemy. All Warrior fans know that his worst enemy is Don Nelson. It’s like watching that crazy kid in your class back talking, defying, and cussing out your old teacher, who refuses to cooperate and complains to the dean about the kid every chance he gets.

Scottoant93Participant^^^^ can’t really argue with that haha i completely forgot about don nelson… He has killed a few players potential.
I bet AR is thanking god every day that nelson is not the coach of the twolves haha

Andrew1984ParticipantBill Simmons wrote a very appropriate piece on Randolph a couple years ago:
There has never been anyone quite like him. He’s like a cross between Josh Smith and Lamar Odom, only if you fed him 10 Red Bulls and told him right before the game, "If you can make 10 things happen during the 10 minutes you play tonight, we will quadruple your salary and you will start for the rest of the season" … and then he does just that, but the coach reneges on the promise so Anthony has a near-crying meltdown on the bench. That’s every Anthony Randolph game. I caught him once and, in the span of two hours, he made three "WOW!" plays and broke down on the Warriors’ bench because Nellie wouldn’t put him back in, followed by an assistant consoling him through an entire timeout like Randolph was a third grader who got in trouble for something he didn’t do, then had a meltdown and got kicked out of class. It was riveting. The odds of me missing another Clips-Warriors game for the next five years are 10,000-to-1.

HitsterParticipantAR managed to get in the doghouse of two of the most attack minded NBA coaches whose systems should have really suited him. The Knicks had Jeffries playing C for a long time under D’Antoni so you can see how AR might have fitted in there for example.
I’ll be interested to see what Coach Adelman decides to do with him but even if he does not get an extension with the T-Wolves then I could see a lot of teams taking a look at him. For example Corey Brewer was waived by the Knicks but soon got a 3 year deal with Dallas and was part of the title winning team.
AR with his skillset and size will always interest teams and maybe he won’t be the star we all hoped he could be but he could still be a very solid rotation player giving a coach nice options as first big man off the bench.
