Da1potParticipantWhat kind of numbers do you think he will average now that Chris Bosh is gone? Is anyone ready to call him an all-star yet?

Michael.S.ParticipantI think he’ll put up all-star numbers but they(coaches) might choose the reserves based on team record, so it all depends.

basedSERBParticipanti think he will flourish with bosh gone… hes got a great jumper and is good in the post and will most likely be the leader of the team. however i think the rapters will have a bad season because they didnt do anything with the free agency (except for barbosa and kleiza, they r ok) and ok in the draft (im excited to see how alabi and davis will do)

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI’m hot and cold on him.
Bargnani is a solid player. I think he can put up like 18 and 8. My only issue: He is not a good defender. So your pretty much dealing with a Bosh lite.
I honestly think Toronto could lose like 55 games next season

FDAPOHe could score 20 ppg…..
I still don’t think he’ll be much of a rebounder. I’ll say 7 rbpg.
But this just shows how bad the Raptors are…

JNixonParticipantI think he’ll get 18 and 7 rpg next year. I won’t call someone who can’t defend, rebound or win very well an All-Star though. Not outright at least.

abriggs06Participant20 and 8. All star, no. With Bosh gone, he will put up numbers, but thats it.

SubZeroParticipantOnly 55 games?

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantYea, they are a NBA team. I do think they will put up a fight.
If I was Toronto, I would expect a top 6 pick next season.

fgrrghgParticipantim saying barg could put up 21 and 7. you know he’s not going to rebound but he will be getting a ton of touches per game. hopefully he posts up a bit more with bosh gone

gainsey15ParticipantI could see him putting up between 19 and 7 and leading the Raptors in scoring but I think the real strength of the team going forward will be Derozen and Weems on the wing. I really like the way they play together on the court.

Toronto16ParticipantAre some of you guys serious? 19 and 9? 20 and 8? I would be shocked if Bargnani could average so many rebounds. The fact is, he needs to be traded. He is just a mediocre player who will be putting up numbers on a bad team. I am a Raptor fan so it hurts to say that. 20 and 6 will be his stats.

dipt1982ParticipantHe is so inconsistent, he can go for 30 one night and 10 the next…I see his averages around 20-7, not bad, but not All Star worthy on a losing team. And does everybody put ‘lite’ after a comparison now? That’s lame, he is nothing like Bosh, NOTHING…so Bosh lite is ridiculous. If anything, he’s a slimmer Okur with a better shot…

billykParticipantBargs can get 19 points as the go to player for the Raptors… No Bosh, no real scoring threat on the Raptors, its very possible he can get 19 points a game… If he averaged 17 a game with Bosh, why cant he average 2 more points a game w/o Bosh… As far as 9 rebounds, after losing Bosh I think Bargs will get more opportunities to get 2 or 3 extra rebounds a game…. Usually players take that big leap in their 4th or 5th year…

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantBargnani does have a chance to score more points per game with Bosh gone… however he’ll be guarded by the opponents better defender the same way Bosh has in the past and be forced to play better defense than was previously expected. There will be added expectations as pressures on Bargnani… maybe he can handle it, maybe he can’t. A lot will be known in the first few games of the season.

IknoBall12Participantbut their record will hurt him. i think he mite even be a 20 ppg scorer but theres so many good big men in the east that its hard 2 see him getting a spot

dmo21ParticipantI see him averaging a lot of points, like over 20. Yes, he looked inconsistent last year and thats because one game the offense would flow through him and the next he gets 2 shots. This year, im thinking and hoping, that Toronto will run the offense through him all year long because he can easily score from spotting up and off the dribble. Also is a very good passer, he likes to do a no look touch pass which looks crazy. Also, he isnt as bad as a defender than most people think, im not saying he is great or even good, but he isnt really soft and can block shots. I think he will atleast average a block a game and maybe 6 boards? He still doesnt box out always, but if he gets his head on straight he could easily up that average. For all star team, i say yes as a center for the east as he probably wont be tried as a power forward..
