I’m guessing Iggy wanted Turner to shoot the ball, he had a pretty good look.

Turner is a rookie, how about instead of throwing an elbow/shove, how about you talk to him during a timeout and tell him what hes doing wrong, instead of trying to embarrass the rookie. Doesn’t really show good leadership in Iguadala’s part.

No The Sixers are a really close squad and Iggy is their leader all the players look up to him.  When Iggy was hurt for them 7games he sat next to the coaches and Turner the whole time on the bench.

The play was designed to kick out to Turner, but since Hawes is such a good passer and mid range shooter Collins throws the misdirection by Iggy kicking it to Hawes who usually pump fakes to bring the defenders closing to him before passing.  If you notice Iggy could of passed it to Turner right away he was open but he gave it to Hawes.  Afterwards you saw Hawes yelling shoot it, and Turner telling him back to calm down and hold it longer, Turner felt Hawes made the pass too fast and if he would of pump faked or held it a second longer to let the defense come out to him then Turner would of been wide open.  Iggy nudged Turner letting him know that he’s the rookie still and to get his head bak in the game.  But the reality was Turner was right.

seems like turner has more basketball iq then iggy and hawes. hes actin like more of a leader then iggy and hawes on that play because he actually told hawes the right thing and what he should’ve done. as for iggy he just elcowed turner like a punk. i lost a lot of respect for him, he was one of my favourite players

In fact him being such a class act on and off the court is why they hate the idea of trading him…Turner was right but you have to shoot when your teammates give you the green light. Iggy actually does what he’s supposeed to and talks to the rookie first, Hawes is still young too so he should’ve had coach in his ear

IF Hawes waits a second longer and pump fakes, Turner gets a wide open three-pointer. That’s clearly what Turner was trying to say. Because Hawes didn’t sell the play, Salmons was able to close out pretty quickly on Turner.

He’s a rookie, but damn… He’s right in that situation. Personally, I don’t see the reason Iguodala bumped him. It’s not like Turner was mouthing off… Hawes told him to shoot it and Turner told him to hold it a little longer.

I don’t know how more open you can get as an NBA guy.  Salmons had a crappy close out with his hands down, Turner could have easily gotten that shot off.  If you’re not gonna take the shot, at least sell the pump fake, which is something Turner didn’t do either.

And now that I watch it again, you guys are right.  It looks like Turner said something to Hawes and Iggy didn’t like what he had to say, so he let the rook know.

I’d be frustrated playing with Evan Turner too. Here is the #2 pick touted as the best all around player in the draft yet other than rebounding he’s pretty much fumbling in every other aspect of the game. Obviously too early to write him off but I can’t see him ever being better than just an average NBA player.
