Congrats to LA, Hibbs, Deng and Iggy. They deserved it.

Shouts to the frenchman TP for making the west reserves. (Has held the team on his back since Ginobili has been out and now the Spurs are once again the silent but deadly fart in the NBA.)

D-Will is debatable. Yes, he is always playing at an all-star level, but his team record says otherwise.

Stands out to me. Dirk of course deserves some slack and is still the guy who led his team to the Finals last season, but he was not having a great year. I think Millsap deserved it more than even Al Jefferson. For the East, Josh Smith and Danny Granger have legit beef with Luol Deng and possibly Paul Pierce.

All in all, strange year and I think the All-Stars worked out alright for the most part. No snubs I am too upset about, but some guys definitely had a strong case and did not make it.

Kyle Lowry got snubbed, now way Nash should of made it over him

Also don’t have a problem with Dirk making it, but I believe Al Jefferson should of made it over him

Rondo not making it is interesting, he was having a great season before his injury, but the Celtics early struggles probably has something to do with it.

Very glad Aldridge got picked though, was a huge snub last season.

I’m not too surprised at any of the names making the roster, with the exception of Dirk Nowitzki. Personally, I think the all star nod should go to players having a better season, not a lifetime achievement award. Even then, it’s not the worst choice ever, despite his struggles, Dirk is still one of the best PF’s in today game in my mind.

Other then that, I agree with all of these. Was a little surprised with Rondo getting cut. Probably would’ve put him over D Will or Igoudala/Deng (make your choice).

As for the rest, Millsap/Gallinari/Gay all had good claims to that spot, though Gallo is currently injured so I can understand that snub. I still would’ve put Millsap over Dirk though, and also, the guards are debatable. I think Parker & Westbrook were both deserving, and I think Lowry & Monta Ellis could both be considered snubs as well, but it’s not a huge complaint.

You can see the differences between the two conferences clearly. The east has 3 legitimate big men (3 and/or PF), the west has 6 big men, and 4 PG’s. Then again, the west has been slightly bigman-dominated, and the east has always been the slightly faster and more athletic of the two for the past decade or so. Nonetheless, can’t wait for all star weekend.

The fact that monta keeps missing All Star games is ridiculous. I’d put him at second at his position behind "only" Kobe right now. No one is as down to business as he is on the court, extremely level headed. With well over 6 apg he plays with his head up too…. Come on people..

I am not a hawks fan but Smith has been doing everything for them since horford got hurt. every year he seems to get better. Monta’s  omission must be due to the warriors record but it is still a crime…

The Biggest Snub to me was James Harden..You can make a legit claim and say he has been OKC’s 2nd best player this season…

Congratulations to Marc Gasol ,LA, Hibbs, Deng and Iggy With Bynub b4 them

    Some quick notes
No KG or TD for the first time after about 12 consecutive years of being selected
Also it looks to me that this is the first time in the last few years that the we 4 Cs in the Game,I mean no PF/C players who are selected to play at C like Pau/TD or Amare or Harford
The west only has 1 SG and SF

I’m glad Deng got in, he certainly deserves it.  One of the best perimeter defenders in the league, playing for the best team in the league and putting up very good numbers every season.

Josh Smith gets yet another snub. For the record luol Deng took Smith’s spot, although Deng did deserve it and if anyone were to take Smiths spot Im glad it was Deng. Stats are deceptive and he deserves t be an Allstar.

Deron Williams is an allstar but I just dont feel lhe has done enough to elevate his team this year and gain that position. Should probally be Jennings taking that spot.

Nowitzki has no buisness whatsover being in the allstar game. Jefferson, Nene, Gasol, Millsap, and Gay are much better selections.

Granger has made quite a bit of comments in his career and done quite a bit of things that has made it so he may not get as much love as he should from around the league. I would say Granger, Deng, and Smith are eqaully important to their teams and all deserving of the selection, although with Horford out and Josh Smith stepping up his game and keeping ATL relevant he got snubbed.

The foot is definitely down on Ellis and GSW to win games or no Allstar apperance, although it should be the same for both conferences. Deron Williams should not be in for the East if Monta didnt get in for the West.

I would have taken Greg Monroe over Hibbert as the East’s big.

    Monta and Lowry both unlucky
