don042488ParticipantThe NBA is getting from bad to worst with their decision making….I would’ve had Joakim Noah make the All-NBA team over Duncan, LaMarcus Aldridge make it over David Lee, and either Kyrie Irving or Steph Cyrry make it over Wade…And how in the World Melo made the 2nd team and not the 1st team? smh Their judgement is pathetic…smh

he_gets_bucketsParticipantTim Duncan just had one of the most productive seasons of his career, AT THE AGE OF 37, and his team is up 2-0 in the Western Conference finals.
Lets look at some stats. Joakim averaged 36.8 minutes a game, with averages of 11.1 rebounds, 11.9 points, 4 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.1 blocks, with the extremely poor FG% for a center at 481%, and a good FT% of 751%, at 27 years of age.
Now Timmy, at the ripe old age of 37, averaged 30.1 minutes a game, with averages of 9.9 rebounds, 17.8 points, 2.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 2.7 blocks, on percentages of 502% FG%, and a FT% of 817%. Adjusted to 36 minutes, the time Noah played, Duncans averages look like this :
21.3 points, 11.9 boards, 3.2 assists, 0.9 steals, 3.2 blocks. Duncan completely deserved his position over Noah, he played better, his team performed better, and his team is in a better position to win it all then Chicago, even if it is because Rose is out.0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/23/2013 - 2:23pm #781491

J_01ParticipantIf All NBA teams were positionless (which I think it should be or at least like the all star and have 2 guards and 3 front court) Melo would have made the first team but since its not and only 2 forwards can make the first team he’s on the 2nd team. Lebron is guaranteed to be 1st team and then there is melo vs durant for the last. Durant gets the edge for being more efficient and his team having a better record. So Melo being on the 2nd team is not that ridiculous if you actually think about it.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantAnd with Aldridge over Lee, Lee is the second best player on a second round playoff team, whereas Aldridge didnt have a great season, and his team is in the lottery. Players make the teams based upon their individual performance and how much better their teams were with them, I think you are the only person on the planet with Aldridge over Lee.

RedDead93ParticipantNo he is really not. Aldridge actually had a better season then David Lee is the better player by consensus, he was just on a less talented team. Led all big men in points and defensively is in another world to David Lee.
What about when K-Love made All-NBA on a horrible Minny team? NBA Coaches are flawed when it comes to voting. No biggie.

Toronto16ParticipantBlake made the all NBA team but Steph Curry did not. I am baffled.
