NBATalk20098Participant6-foot-6 combo guard
20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists
He can shoot pass dribble but the Bobcats should draft him

JRdaFilipinoParticipantNot to be mean but just because he has good college states.. can shoot pass and dribble.. and is a good athlete doesn’t justify your Mcgrady comparisons. I can name you a lot of shooting guards who can shoot pass and dribble etc but are nowhere near close.. nor have the potential to be close.. as good as Tracy Mcgrady once was.

TRC1991Participantthere really aren’t any similarities between the 2….the person who was most similar to mcgrady in the past 2 drafts was paul george…and burks is much more similar to brandon roy than t-mac

CalipariParticipantI think the McGrady comparions are a bit out there. However, I do feel that Burks could be a real sleeper, and someone who eventually blossoms. I’m not sure the Bobcats really need him, if they’re committed to the Henderson/Augustin backcourt, and with their position in the draft it reamins more likely they grab one of the available big men.

JoeWolf1Burks’ biggest knock is that he isn’t a very good shooter, you can’t always look at a stat sheet and see 20 ppg and assume a guy can shoot.

OhCanada-ParticipantLol at being committed to Augustin and Henderson. Pick BPA which maybe Burks.

Lotto StudParticipantClosest thing to McGrady will be Paul George IMO

CalipariParticipantWhat has plagued the Bobcats since their inception has been a a lack of vision, and a plan. They never were quite sure if they intended to win, build from the gound up or what not. Burks very well could be the best player available when they pick, but they have to decide where they’re going, what they’re doing, and how they are going to get there. If they decide Burks is in the plan, then he’ll far no further, but it isn’t a given at all, and they need a comprehensive rebuilding plan in order to build a reputable franchise. In that regard, this draft will be very important. Not because it is overflowing with talent, but because if they snag the right player it could put them far ahead of other lottery teams.

Chilbert arenasParticipantIn my opinion Rudy Gay has the most similar body type and skill set to McGrady and still isn’t close to Tracy in his prime.
