When will this guy start getting some love for this years draft? He has been a top 5 true freshman this year in one of the best conf. He is on a bad team but plays great agaist top talent and is never out of control. He has been a lot better than Bradley and Henry, but for some reason they are in this years draft. Where’s the love for a talented athletic 2 guard prospect?

Burks, whom I used to play with for the Kansas City Premiere, has really blossomed. As late as 2 years ago he was a 6’1″ floor general, with a smooth game and a true feel, but by no means an NBA prospect. He has grown five inches and claims that he is expected to grow one or two more. He was injured and sat out the KU game, came back three days later and dropped 25+ in a loss vs. Mizzou. Real deal!

Burks is the real deal, he needs to improve his outside shooting and maybe a little strength, but he has played really well this season. I was disappointed he was hurt, I wanted to see him against KU’s guards.

An underrated aspect of Burks’ game is his defense. He plays good on ball D and his long arms really allow him to affect passing lanes.

He’s clearly a guy that had a growth spurt. I watched Colorado vs. Kansas State and he seemed like he was still growing into his body. He’s a good prospect for next year or 2012, as he’s got to get stronger and polish his offensiev game. He reminds me of C.J. Miles of the Utah Jazz.

Also, Colorado has an underrated scorer on their team named Cory Higgins. He plays at his own pace and even though he’s not a very good athlete or much of a physical specimen, he gets his shots off and finishes well at the rim. He’s not a prospect much if at all, but he’s the best player on Colorado’s team.
