I posted one of thse for the knicks here is another one. Getting rid of Okafor is a must, and this team is actually freaking good considering their best player hasn’t played yet. I would trade him to the bulls for the bulls first round pick and isaiah canaan who will be cut. Then you turn around and trade your accquired bulls pick to the lakers for Clarkson. That would at least give the lakers a guarenteed first round pick if they don’t finish inside the top 3 (they will get the 2nd or 3rd pick most likely). The lakers can tank to get that top 3 pick, which I believe  Miami or Boston will get the first pick but that doesn’t matter. McConnell is playing good but he’s a good backup same with covington, keep building your bench if your philly. Philly will at least get a top 10 pick which they need a point guard that isn’t ball dominant, I like Ntilkina or Monk who can kinda play point i guess, but simmons jumper has looked good so idk.

    76ers lineup

    PG-Top 10 pick

    SG-Clarkson

    SF-Ben Simmons

    PF-Saric

    C-Embiid

    6th Noel

    7th Covington

    8th McConnell

    9th Luwawu

    HELL OF A TEAM

Luke Walton always brings up lack of rim protection after games. They’d want Noel. They have enough basketball black holes. Okafor would just be another one.

to Chicago seems like the best bet.  Chicago has plenty of assets.  Wouldn’t mind McDermott or Valentine.

to Boston for Avery Bradley is doable too.  Likely Boston ends up top 3 and takes Fultz Jackson or Ball, maybe Isaac.  So Bradley will be used less and besides Amir Johnson they odn’t have many big men and they need some post scoring for the playoffs.  He’d be a nice utility player.  So would Bradley, but Bradley is likely off the floor in crunch time…thats Isiah Thomas and possibly Fultz time…..

I propose Lakers pick and Philly’s pick + Noel to whoever gets the first pick to get my hands on Markelle Fultz.  He is a missing piece that is perfect for the Sixers roster.  He is perfect to play off the ball and still get points like a James Harden when they are needed.

Although I really like Isaac and Monk if we can get them….

If Lakers drop to 4 and Philly drafts 8 or 9, unlikely that both Isaac and Monk are still there.

I’d cash in with Isaac Monk and Noel, and go and grab the perfect fit for your offense.

for fultz??? Issac simmons and embeast alone could form a defensive nightmare in addition to offensively is a major fit because Isaac’s ability to stretch the floor. Then add the fact that monk can do complement simmons perfectly and you don’t really need a PG with simmons carrying the bulk of the load at PG, then add monk with issac who can spread the floor and open it up for embeast and give simmons room to operate and bake the cake….then noel who allows you to keep embid’s minutes down and preserve his career without that much of a drop off when he’s out of the game for someone is a good fit, over great fits??? not to mention he may not be good in the league not saying he won’t but thee is a chance as opposed to having two chances sorry three to get it right.

Why do you think Fultz is a good but not great fit?

I’ve seen Fultz get the ball on a pass and put it right up for a smooth 3.  Also, his size allows him to play better against perimeter guards due to Monk’s limitations with size and rebounding.  You think, Monk would be able to use his athleticism better on the defensive end but he really gives you nothing.

Monk cannot take it to the hole with the ball, Fultz can do that in his sleep.

Noel we aren’t going to pay.  I see Noel playing 15 minutes a night.  I think Richuan Holmes can do what he does.  I can’t justify paying Noel that much for a backup role that still makes you cringe now and then.

And Isaac is another great perimeter player and defender but you have ot think how realistic is it that you land both him and Monk?

Well, if that Lakers pick does translate, and we end up somehow with 4 and 8, Monk and Isaac is very real.

I think you are right though, Monk, Isaac, and Noel is too much to give up for 1 player, but I do love that 1 guy.

i think he’s great too!!! And for all those reasons you mentioned I would love to have him!!! Also think with him you have a solidifiedbig three, but I don’t love him that much to give up all three of them for that!

I’m perfectly fine taking say 3 or 4 and 7 and taking really any combo of guys there including Monk. It won’t matter though, because it’s going to end up being the No. 1 pick and being Fultz.

Yeah I dont want Clarkson.  I’m all about signing Holiday and taking best available in draft.  All these guards are ball dominant. Even Fultz and Smith need the ball to score.  Give me Isaac or Markkanen.  I think they have more upside than anyone in the draft

Clarkson is clearly not what the sixers are looking for. They are likely getting rid of Nik Stauskas who is not a clear cut worse player at that position yet cheaper, younger, and projects as a better fit with simmons with his 3pt stroke.

D’Angelo would be a possible target if the Lakers were to keep their pick and choose a top PG. He might be more valuable than Okafor for logjam reasons and fans loving him but he is similarily unsuccessful and unreliable yet still has great upside. Both have mixed reputation off-the-court (nick young incident, Okafor fighting, Russell-Kobe dynamic…) and could use fresh air. Fanbases would hate that kind of trade though, since they are both viewed by their respective fanbase as "the other guy mistakenly taken before Porzingis that sucks even more than ours: we hate him".

All in all, I don’t think a trade between the sixers and lakers can happen.

Why the hell would we trade Okafor for that? If you trade him to the Bulls, I’m keeping that pick.

I would love to send him to Orlando for Ibaka and a pick. Also, it makes no sense to trade for a guard when there are already a ton of them on the roster and we have two top 10 picks in a draft loaded with guards.

While I would like to move Noel, Ilyasova and Okafor, I don’t see it happening. The "man of action" has done nothing but make the most obvious pick since KD, sign a guy with a chronic wrist injury and nothing else.

Maybe the original post is a fake Zach Lowe account, but Embiid is our best player and a top 10 guy in the league. It might be time to admit that.

The ownership has no interest in spending even to the floor of the salary cap & they basically run a D-League team

Ownership Matters & I just see the Sixers as a Kings or Bucks or T-Wolves situation where it over a decade before they even get just a tiny bit of stability to even start to build something.

I think it’s clear that Embiid is finished. The jury is still out on Simmons but the way that team mangles injury I highly doubt you will see Simmons next year either & you have to point to him also being a bust b/c PF’s & C’s w/ major foot issues just Never get healthy.

Footwork is rarely talked abou tbut it is the Foundation of any great athlete. Embiid did not look as fluid or athletic to me this year as he was in college. He looked awkward & to me it was only a matter of time before he got hurt b/c the Sixers Medical Staff screwed him up so bad by botching that recovery. You can NOT sit guys for indefinite periods of time w/o seriously messing up how they walk & run in terms of balance & once that is thrown off the athlete is Never right again. Simmons & Embiid will Never play 35 mpg for full seasons. The most you will Ever get is limited duty for short stretches & they will Always be back on the sideline.

Brett Brown has Got to get out of that franchise – it’s a Dumpster Fire.
