7. Jaylen Brown
8. Pascal Siakam

The GoatParticipantNo way it’s historically bad. That’s a historically bad post though – you even listed Siakam at #6 and #8

sweaterflexParticipant1. Ben Simmons- MVP if he gets a jump shot, perennial All Star if he doesn’t
2. Pascal Siakam- two way monster, sleeper All Star this season
3. Jamal Murray- much improved as a defender, could be a top 10 scorer in a few years when the pull up 3 starts falling
4. Caris LeVert- two way wing with passing and shooting upside
5. Jaylen Brown- needs to improve shooting consistency but already a very good defender when focused
6. Buddy Hield- probably plateaus at current level (now that we all know he’s 26) but it’s a pretty good level.
7. Brandon Ingram- the fit may be bad, but he has played very poorly two out of three seasons now. He needs to shoot and he needs to defend, and right now he does neither.
8. Domantas Sabonis- extremely productive, would like to see him do it aganst opposing teams’ starters.
9. Malcolm Brogdon- I think a few players below become better in time, but right now he is a league average starter at either backcourt spot.
10. Dejounte Murray-if he shoots he’s a top 5 player in the class, already a top 5 leaguewide backcourt defender when healthy.
11. Juancho Hernangomez- holding up surprisingly well defending 3s, should be a long-term starter at either forward spot.
12. Kris Dunn- something like the worse case outcome for Dejounte, has played incrementally better each year.
13. Taurean Prince- valuable due to positional scarcity, but not great in any one area.
14. Jakob Poeltl- very productive, center is such a deep position that he will likely never be top 15 despite his efficiency.
15. Malik Beasley- the jumper has looked good, hard to be worth more being position-locked at the 2.
My biggest misses: I thought Bender would be Pau Gasol with more defensive ability on the perimeter, I thought Wade Baldwin would be something like a mix of Westbrook and Bledsoe, and I thought Jaylen Brown would never shoot.
Biggest hit: LeVert

juves4783Participantfred vanvleet – he should be considerable mention for back end spot. holding up surprisingly well in the nba.

sweaterflexParticipantGood call, last year I would have put him above Kris Dunn, I’d like to see what he’d do with 30+ minutes a game.

OhCanada-ParticipantVan Vleets a backup PG hes not starter in this league. With that being said I think he can really thrive as a backup and be one of the best reserve PG’s in the league. He just doesnt have the athletisism to matchup with the elite starting PG’s in the league.

HobbyOGParticipantSometimes a backup can win you championships..Spurs and Bulls had several guards with his skill set that won them multiple ships.

OhCanada-ParticipantWell heres my list. I really made this thread because I wanted to see how people veiw Siakam’s impact compared to others. Kinda a mixed response.
I’d have Murray ahead of him because he’s been leading the top team in the West as the primary gaurd and always plays through alot of pressure. Siakam gets to play off of Leonard and Lowry also has Ibaka and Valanciunas in there but to his credit he has played well when those guys are out which has been most of the year. Toronto has been plagued with injuries (and rest). I also expect Siakam to have an amazing night tonight against the Suns with Lowry and Leonard both resting.
1. Ben Simmons
2. Jamal Murray
3. Pascal Siakam
4. Brandon Ingram
5. Buddy Hield
6. Domantas Sabonis
7. Jaylen Brown
8. Malcolm Brogdon
9. Caris LeVert
10. Dejounte Murray
11. Taurean Prince
12. Kris Dunn
13. Fred Van Vleet
14. Deandre Bembry
You could make a case for Malik Beasley, Furkan Korkmaz, Jakob Poeltl, Jaun Hernangomez, Denzel Valentine and Ivaca Zubac at 14 but I like Bembry’s versatility. Damian Jones, Tyrone Wallace, Ante Zizic, Abdel Nader and Jake Layman also deserve a mention. Thats about it, pretty weak draft.

Memphis MadnessParticipantNot a great draft.
Pascal Siakam could be 1 in a rerank a couple of years from now. Who knows, maybe HE is more like Scottie Pippen.
Looks like a weak draft (looking back on it). Looking ahead, I can see the 2020 draft being like this. Underwhelming. Basically 1 blue chipper and guys with vague "upside".

The GoatParticipantThis is my top group in order, lots of guys I can’t split after this. It’s weak draft in a sense there won’t be many all stars but lots of guys will be in the league a long time. I can’t believe people were calling for Ingram over Simmons. I’m perfectly happy having all the guys listed above him in those spots I have them.
Ben Simmons
Pascal Siakam
Jamal Murray
Caris LeVert
Jaylen Brown
Dejounte Murray
Malcolm Brogdon
Buddy Hield
Domantas Sabonis
Brandon Ingram
Kris Dunn0 - Posted on: Fri, 01/18/2019 - 4:22pm #1128422
dmo21ParticipantI focused my draft on how these players are currently playing (not looking too much in the future, which is why I don’t have Dejounte in my draft) and on the needs of that team during the 2016 draft.
PHI- Simmons
LAL- Murray
BOS- Sabonis
PHO- Siakam
MIN- Ingram
NO- Hield
DEN- Brogdon
PHO- LeVert
TOR- Brown
MIL- Dunn
OKC- Prince
ATL- Brembry
SAC- Beasley
CHI- VanVleet
