rickybobbyParticipantListed at 6’1 170lbs his athletic abilities at 14 are simply amazing. One of the most impressive mixtape i’ve seen in a while, especially for his age.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantReally? 14?…good lord. S*** like this really makes me feel stupid for ever thinking I had a shot of playing basketball at any significant level.

sideburn2goParticipantWow, that kid is incredible….He’s so fast and his hangtime is amazing… kids got hops….hard to believe he is only 14

scbe2223ParticipantSeventh? Damn
0 - Posted on: Thu, 04/18/2013 - 2:52pm #764378
HaleParticipantI wasn’t expecting much…I was wrong. He’s an insane athlete for any 6’1 guard, let alone only being 14. I’m truly blown away by how athletic he is at such a young age.

paradigmnParticipantBeen posting about him for a minute now. He’s currently top 15 in the Class of 2016 imo, but he could def move up. Here’s an article from a year ago, when he was playing varsity ball as an 8th grader. http://prospect-central.blogspot.com/2012/04/seventh-woods-8th-grader-cutting-down.html
Had him on a Freshman Watch list back in July also…
http://prospect-central.blogspot.com/2012/07/hs-basketball-class-of-2016-freshmen_2667.htmlAnd a Pre-Season 1st Team Freshmen All-American in October
http://prospect-central.blogspot.com/2012/10/high-school-basketball-2012-13-pre_29.htmlHe currently finished up the year averaging 19.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.5 apg, and 2.7 spg for Hammond High School in Columbia, SC. He’s also been invited to tryout for the 12-member 16U USA Developmental Team next month. If I’m not mistaken, he’ll be the youngest person there. Here’s a player profile for Seventh, with a video playlist. The first video is the new vid just posted, but you can skip ahead to the other videos, which are just as good.

LazarusMunozParticipantDang I wanna see the kids in his class that are rated higher than him…This kid can fly!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 04/18/2013 - 3:56pm #764404
SiggyParticipantHe’s much more than just a freaky guard too.
He already has his own personal trainer to help develop individual skills as well. Kid is a machine.Youtube search the Seventh Woods Saga.

Tiger1313ParticipantThon Maker is the supposed top player in this class with Harry Giles right behind him if I remember correctly. Maker is a 7’0 with an advanced offensive game and athleticism for his height/age. Giles I don’t know much about. But at the end of the day they’re all 14 and a lot can change so who knows!

Lotto StudParticipantFor my guilty pleasure of wanting to see smaller guys who are explosive, I hope he stays that height.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 04/18/2013 - 5:21pm #764425
Forte IVParticipantHe must must be half pogo stick.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 04/18/2013 - 5:25pm #764422
BigChamp12ParticipantIs he really 14? Man that lil dude has bounce!!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 04/18/2013 - 5:33pm #764428
MalcolmxParticipantHeard about him last year. He is one of the youngest in his class due to never being held back a grade and having a late August birthday. He has been dunking since like 11 when he was about 5’6. There are vids on youtube. They asked him to come to USA tryouts 16U when his 14th Birthday had just past. Rivals said he was killing it there and looked like he may make the squad even though he is that young. A lot of scouts say the 2016 class is stacked I think if he keeps this up he should finish in the top 20 at least. It’s hard to project though.Incredible talent for such a young age.

IknoBall12ParticipantBut am I the only one who noticed how high he had the ball in the air on his crossovers? I mean he was carrying his ass off. Kid has ridiculous bounce tho
0- Posted on: Thu, 04/18/2013 - 6:17pm #764435
SiggyParticipantHow high the ball is doesn’t determine if its a carry or not.

Evan_MilbergParticipantI was expecting to see two and a half minutes of dunks and layups, but he can really do it all: handle, drive, leap, shoot, pass, and play defense. I just hope, like with all kids who get hype from an early age, that he doesn’t flame out and end up cracking under the pressure of the enormous expectations I’m sure will be attached to him for the next 5 years.

WinterSoldierParticipantI don’t think I have ever seen a 14 year old with elite NBA athleticism. That was incredible!!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 04/18/2013 - 11:48pm #764466
FastAndFuriousParticipantThon Maker
Harry Giles III
De’Ron Davis
VJ King(seen him play a number of times out in Akron,OH)
Joshua Langford
Those are the top 5 players in the class of 2016, Seventh Woods is rated #12 as of now, but alot can change between now and 2016.

TallmanNYCParticipantThat was crazy. His head was getting close to the rim on some of those blocks. Poor kids just trying to lay the ball in and this guy’s head is looking down on them and he is just swatting their sheet.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/19/2013 - 3:19am #764484
MkadozaParticipantDoes anyone see an undersized two guard in his future? I feel like Russell Westbrook/Monta Ellis is a comparison for his game and athleticism at the high school level. But we’ll see how he pans out.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/19/2013 - 3:35am #764491
SnowtaParticipantI’d like to see this kid play against Tyus Jones. Maybe I’m just basing it off the fact he seems way more athletic, but I think Woods would work Tyus
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/19/2013 - 4:15am #764494
Toronto16Participant@Mkadoza
He’s only 14, I highly doubt he is done growing.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/19/2013 - 4:30am #764497
JoeWolf1That kind of athletic ability for a 14 year old is almost jaw dropping. I’ll keep my eye out for him going forward. If he has the work ethic Siggy suggests he could be very special, but he’ going to have to be a point in the NBA if he’s only 6’1”. With that kind of body, I’d assume he’s done growing.
0- Posted on: Fri, 04/19/2013 - 5:52am #764512
SiggyParticipantIf you saw his videos from last yr, he looks more explosive this yr which could be a result of him getting his man muscles already. That usually happens when a player is growing into his body, not as much when they’re still growing.

Lotto StudParticipantAthletically speaking he is up there with D.Rose.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/19/2013 - 5:28am #764504
Lotto StudParticipantShot blocks like Wall.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/19/2013 - 5:33am #764507
hoopscopParticipantYes, he is supreme talented, athletically he is on an plane with Russ, DRose and Wall. But his floor game, feel for the game, his shooting are way way more advanced compared with these guys when they entered college. But he is only one example for the ultra talented class of 2016. He could fulfill all his potential and barely make the top ten, class of 2016 is that much and much more. Harry Giles is a cant miss, but I like most the squad of high flying silky smooth swingmen aka V.J. King, Josh Jackson, Tyus Battle, Jayson Tatum, Vance Jackson, Justin Jackson, Justin Langford. Unbelievable.

WhiteChocolateParticipantHe is the truth. He trains at a gym that i go to and right now he is a legit D1 prospect. His maturity is off the charts for a kid his age. His passion and feel for the game and his athletic ability is what sets him apart.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/19/2013 - 5:59am #764513
benjo34Wow,when i watched his video first i said was..John Wall with better shot..It’s incredible he got shot, vision, athlecism and HE IS 14?? He will probbably grow couple of inches so..i really never think that i would say this but looks like we are gonna have more pg in nba like drose and wall
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/19/2013 - 7:39am #764527
theprophetParticipantdamn! he could be that next best pg in the league in eight to ten years.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/19/2013 - 8:10am #764535
durantula83ParticipantThis kid is a beast, he could play college ball and do some damage right now.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/19/2013 - 9:00am #764540
kobyzParticipantEric Bledsoe at best
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/19/2013 - 9:12am #764544
Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantHe already has a college basketball body and he’s only 14…
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/20/2013 - 2:27pm #764797
strobox88ParticipantIf the kid makes it to the 6’3″ 6’4″ range by his senior year, he will be literally unstoppable as a PG or SG. That combination of athleticism, speed, handles is amazing. I think he’s further along skill-wise than Wiggins at the same age (after watching his mixtape when he was 14), but Wiggins has virtually limitless upside; don’t know how much better this kid can get, but his future certainly looks bright.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 04/23/2013 - 3:12pm #765693
Tinkl2ParticipantThats quite young to do that he could get into a good college
