Dead mice, black lights and Chucky: Former Syracuse star Rakeem Christmas' creepy crib

Syracuse, N.Y. — Rakeem Christmas always had a penchant for the unusual.

But the former Syracuse University center has gone from toting a SpongeBob SquarePants backpack around the SU campus to furnishing one of the creepiest apartments in the NBA.

Christmas, who led Syracuse in both scoring and rebounding last season, was selected in the second round of the 2015 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. In July, the Cavaliers traded Christmas to the Indiana Pacers.

Bleacher Report recently sent a reporter to check out Christmas' apartment. There, the reporter found dead mice in Christmas' refrigerator freezer. The mice were intended for Christmas' pet snake.

Moving on, the reporter discovered Christmas likes black lights. There was also the presence of a Chucky doll from the 1980s horror movie "Child's Play." And then there was the artwork. Christmas and the reporter went to a local gallery to pick out some interesting art for Christmas' apartment.

The whole tour got the attention of Christmas' former Syracuse teammate Jerami Grant.

It should be pointed out that Christmas' apartment did have posters for The Godfather movie and boxing great Muhammad Ali.
