Is Colorado a bubble team without Andre Roberson?

That’s what the Buffs might have to find out over the next 10 days as they make their final push for the NCAA Tournament.

A source told the Camera that Roberson has contracted Mononucleosis, but CU said the diagnosis is a less severe “viral illness” and described his playing status as “day to day.”

Roberson — who scored 24 points during last Wednesday’s 65-63 win at Stanford while dealing with what were thought to be flu-like symptoms — did not practice on Tuesday and the coaching staff decided to close Thursday’s practice.

The 6-7 forward did not warm up with teammates an hour before tonight’s key game against the first-place Ducks at the Coors Events Center. Roberson was on the bench in street clothes prior to Thursday’s tipoff.

During CU’s 48-47 win over Oregon on Feb. 7 in Eugene, Roberson scored the game-winning basket and finished with 13 rebounds.
