Myck Kabongo, Texas
It’s a shame he didn’t get to start the season with the Horns because his arrival has made them a much more formidable opponent. In his last two games he’s shooting near 70% from the field and averaging 27.5 ppg along with 7 rpg and 4 apg. He led Texas to a big upset over Oklahoma on Wednesday and his ability to get to the rim has been huge in improving this Texas team recently.
Who’s Hot
LeBryan Nash, Oklahoma State
Nash has been playing very well recently and it’s part of the reason why Oklahoma State is the most dangerous team playing in the Big 12 right now. He’s scored his two highest point totals of the year in his past 4 games. He was off against Kansas but he’s moving forward and he’s playing more consistency and efficiently, which has always been a big issue with him.

Who’s Not
Garlon Green, TCU
It’s been a season full of disappointment for Green and TCU (as I’ve stated numerous times throughout the season) and the two no-shows this past week didn’t help him. Against arguably the best team in the conference and the hottest team in the conference Green was non-existent. Over the 52 minutes he played last week he scored 7 points on 14 shots, had 2 rebounds and 4 turnovers. It’s about time this season of disappointment gets put to rest.

WTF Moment of the Week
Elijah Johnson – Instead of a top 5 I’m changing the segment this week. I believe it was just a week ago when I called Johnson undraftable. He answered the criticism with a huge eruption playing two-guard a little more against ISU and all of a sudden erupted for 39 points, 21 higher than his previous season high. I don’t think anyone saw this coming, as he hadn’t even scored over 13 in a game since November 15th, well before conference play began. On the other side of this exciting game was another player I’ve ripped on all season in Korie Lucious, who also happened to have arguably his best game of the season, scoring 23. It must have been bizarre day or something.
