Former San Antonio Spurs guard Malik Hairston signs with Montepaschi Siena

Malik Hairston, a former guard-forward of the San Antonio Spurs, has signed a two-year contract with Montepaschi Siena of the Italian League, according to The Hoops Market.

Drafted 48th overall in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns, the former Oregon Duck player was traded to San Antonio in a draft-day deal that sent point guard Goran Dragic to the Suns.

While Hairston was waived at the end of training camp in 2008, he stayed in the Spurs' system by signing with San Antonio's D-League affiliate, the Austin Toros.
