As we well know, a glitch in the matrix is signified by a déjà vu. And just as the 2014 Jordan Brand Classic National Game reminded of past all-star games in which offense overshadowed defense tenfold, there was indeed a glitch found in the system. Yes, the 100 and 110 field goals attempted by the East and West teams, respectively, caused the box score software to malfunction. The young men pushed it to the limit, as they'd so often heard their coaches tell them to do in the past, and forced triple digit field goal attempts on a system only equipped to handle

2014 Jordan Brand Classic: East Prospects

The halftime violinist afforded spectators a few minutes to rest their eyes, and it was much needed. The action on court for the 13th annual Jordan Brand Classic gave a whole new meaning to fast and furious. If this game didn’t establish new records for shortest time of possession, it had to be close. With athleticism on display (while defense napped) at the Barclays Center, here are player evaluations for the East squad:

After losing the last two games, this year’s version of Team USA was the “Redeem Team” in the Nike Hoop Summit. Every player on the team had been part of USA Basketball in some form, either in a Mini Camp, National Team or in the 3x3 competition. The two youngest players on last years U19 World Championships Gold Medal winning team, Justise Winslow and Jahlil Okafor, were arguably the two MVP’s during this seasons Hoop Summit contest.
