  1. turner
Turner all the way, the love for wesley johnson is getting to be a bit much.

Good player, but Turner is better, much better all around player, johnson only really beats him in long range shot.

Wesley is good and a top 15 talent, but damn his hype is really going overboard.

  2. I totally agree!!
Wes Johnson is good and all, but i dont even think its close. The versitility of turner seperates him from absolutley everyone in this draft. Johnsonhas a better shot. But all around, its Turner. Im really starting to wonder why Johnson is rated so high? Can someone please explain to me why he is a top 5 pick right now. I see him more as a 10-15 type of pick.

  3. wes for sure
The reasons you guys are giving for why turner is better than Wes are not true. Wes is a stat stuffer, he is good for a couple steals, a couple blocks, 10 rebounds, and around 20+ points a game. He is the best athlete in the college game this year, with his length, size, strength, wing span, vertical, and smooth flow, i got to disagree. I was at the game vs Cornell and stood about 2 feet from him, his body is made for the NBA, the camera does not do him justice. his 3 shot is not even what makes him special, he is just now starting to really get that down. This kid wont just be a good NBA player, he is gona be a star NBA player.

  4. It’s simple as this… if
It’s simple as this… if you need a scorer, take Wes Johnson. If you need a player that’s going to make others better, take Evan Turner. I like Evan Turner more than Wes Johnson. I’m not saying he’s going to have a better career. Turner has the instincts to make others better. He can pass, shoot, dunk, defend… what’s he not capable of doing? Oh! Shooting the long ball like Wes Johnson. Coaches will tell you in a minute, “I want Turner over Johnson”. He just do it all. He can play Point or Wing. Johnson really is a late bloomer; while, favorably, Evan Turner is still getting better. I saw him in a public setting recently and he’s very tall. I couldn’t see the muscle tone because of the weather. Though, he stands around 6’8”.

  5. Turner
I gotta go with Turner also. I love his versatility – the fact that he is playing point guard this season for the Buckeyes is quite a feat. While I don’t think he’s going to be a NBA “superstar”, he should be a solid pro.

  6. Wing Player
The question was, “Which WING player would you take”? I’ll take Wes Johnson as my wing player. He’s got good form and is a natural wing player. I like both players and I think Wes is a better WING player than Turner because of his abilitly to hit the long range which makes defenders have to commit to him, this is where he can take advantage of defenders playing him hard.

But Damn, Turner’s got an all around game and that boy could play. If he goes pro as a PG, he’ll be lable the next Magic standing at 6’8. I don’t like my WING players to handle the ball as much as Turner does because the rest of the team just ends up watching him play and not get involve. Give him the ball at the top and ISO for Turner is dangerous, I don’t think anyone could stop him at the college level.

  7. Wesley
How many of you can honestly say you watched a Syracuse game this year or last year. Both this year and last year we had top 5 talent and yet no one give this team the credit they deserve. The hype of Wesley Johnson is true and you’ll see for yourself if you actually watch a Syracuse game. Just like last year no one cared about Syracuse till the six overtime Syracuse-Uconn game. Syarcuse should be a top 3 team this season with beating two teams that were at one point ranked. California and UNC. The top 3 teams now, Kansas, Texas, and Villanova have only beaten 1 previously ranked team combined and that was Villanova beating Dayton. Give us some love.

  8. top 3?
top 3 is pushing it a little….dont you think? you dont become a top 3 team by just beeting ranked teams. you have to take on the best to be that high. dont get me wrong you guys are good, but not top 3 thats for sure. also, even though i have not watched him play live i have on tv. i dont think it changes much.

  9. Cuse is in the Top 5
I’ve watched many of the Syracuse games too bad I’m not in the CNY area no more, I can only catch them on ESPN and I always try to catch as many games as possible. Last year’s team was good because of Flynn, this year’s team is good because of the TEAM. I think this year’s team is a little more balance and a bit better because all 5 players on the court are involved. Last year was pretty much the FLYNN show (got love for him, watching him live here at the Target center). I would consider Cuse a top 3 when they destroied UNC and UNC is rank 11 and they destroied Michian State who’s rank 9 yesterday. That’s just my personal opinion though. But if you don’t consider Syracuse atleast a top 5, just means your a hater.

  10. CUSE is top 3
When the big east play starts the orange will play and beat great team after great team, so yes i expect them to be very high with the type of competition they go up against. Syracuse will win the tournament and Wes will win POY!

  11. Johnson
if you’ve watched the games then you would know that Wesley Johnson has had 2-4 chances to hit 30+ points and 10+ rebounds already. the only reason he hasn’t is because we’ve been blowing EVERY team out. not one game has been close and that means we barely play our starters in the second half. there’s a three times where our bench players have played around fifteen minutes and more. All im saying is that Evan Turner is playing more minutes thus piling up more stats.

P.S Johnson is by far the better dunker.

  12. Wes Johnson by Far…. Wing Player? Are u serious?
I saw Johnson standing next to Turner and Johnson looked like the superior athlete in NY. Turner is an amazing player with the ball in his hands, but when you say wing player… There is no better wing player in college basketball than Wes Johnson. The kid has an amazing “catch and shoot” jumper and he can shoot off the dribble just as good or if not better than most wings in the NBA right now. He has a 42″ vertical with a nack for slashing!!! The kid could have his own top 10 plays every week with just dunks. He blocks shots, grabs rebounds, can score with his back to the basket, can make the extra pass, make steals, alter shots, can switch to the 4 or 2 if either gets in foul trouble, a mean 3 BALL… I WANT HIM!!
