THE BASICS

Athletic achievement: He led the Charging Wildcats to a 25-5 record and the Class 7A state championship this past season. The state’s returning Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year, Allen averaged 25.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 3.1 steals per game. An All-State honoree and MVP of the Class 7A state championship game in both 2013 and 2015, he was selected to USA TODAY’s All-USA Arkansas First Team.

Academic excellence: Allen has maintained a 3.20 GPA.

Exemplary character: A devoted member of his church community, he has volunteered locally on behalf of youth basketball teams and the Shop With a Cop program, which provides Christmas gifts for families in need.

THE PRAISE

“Allen is a special player,” said Searcy High coach Jimmy Summers. “He’s silky smooth and unstoppable in the open floor. When the game is on the line and they need a bucket, he’s going to score.”

THE FUTURE: Allen has verbally committed to Florida.
