Roundup: Oak Hills boys upend No 7. Fairfield

Oak Hills found themselves down by 10 at halftime, but rallied in the second half to upset Fairfield 49-47.

Fairfield is ranked No. 7 in The Enquirer Division I coaches' poll while Oak Hills is unranked.

The Highlanders outscored Fairfield 27-15 in the second half. Forward Luke Rudy led the charge with a game-high 20 points. Rudy hit six of Oak Hill's seven 3-pointers and added six rebounds and one assist.

Center Caleb Cox finished with nine points and five rebounds for the Highlanders.

La Salle 48, Aiken 37: La Salle dealt Aiken, the No. 1 team in the Divisions II-VI poll, its first loss of the season.

Senior forward Donte Buycks led the Lancers, No. 3 in the Division I poll, with a game-high 23 points. Buycks hit four of La Salle's seven three-pointers.

Lakota West 54, Middletown 53 (OT): Jacob Biehle and Mitch Webber both recorded double-doubles for the Firebirds – Biehle finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Webber scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 boards.

Vincent Calhoun led the Middies with a game-high 16 points.

Hamilton 55, Princeton 53: Ryan Robinson scored a team-high 13 points and Jamil Daniels contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead Hamilton.

Jordan Bradley had a game-high 14 points for Princeton.

Walnut Hills 64, Anderson 43: MaCio Teague scored 25 points for Walnut Hills.

Wyoming 70, Finneytown 42: Lonnie Grayson scored a game-high 26 and Walker Lewis chipped in with 20 points for No. 5 Wyoming.

Reading 47, Mariemont 46: Grayson Roberts blocked Mariemont's attempted game-winner at the buzzer to seal the win.

North College Hill 56, Cincinnati Country Day 51: Kenny and Kameron Thompson combined to score 38 points to lead North College Hill to the road win. North College Hill had to overcome a 28-25 halftime deficit to get the win.

CHCA 58, Cincinnati Christian 44: Erik Kohlan led CHCA with a team-high 12 points.

Georgetown 76, Blanchester 48: Jake Cropper and Jon Staggs combined to score 50 points for Georgetown.

Cropper scored 17 of his 27 points after halftime to help Georgetown pull away after leading 39-30 at the half.

Staggs ended with 23 points as Georgetown moved to a 6-0 on the year.

Milford 73, Loveland 44: MilfSenior forward Jack Hannah scored a game-high 18 points for Milford.

Junior forward Jack Engleman added 12 points.

Lakota East 74, Colerain 20: Lakota East, the top ranked team in the Enquirer's Division I poll, rolled behind 15 points from Alex White.

Taft 59, Hughes 50: Junior forward Jahlil Woods finished with a game-high 17 points for Taft.

Junior guard Frank Royles added 13 points.

Edgewood 38, Ross 33: Tanner Wright led Edgewood with 16 points, while Dustin Foley scored 13 in a losing effort for Ross.

Girls Basketball

Seven Hills 38, Lockland 29: Seven Hills found themselves down by two at the midway point until junior guard Catherine Bain hit three of her four 3-pointers in the third quarter to break the game open.

Bain finished with 12 points.

Senior guard Maggie Gosiger scored a game-high 22 points for Seven Hills.
