VIDEO: Super-recruit Malik Monk's wicked title game tomahawk jam

Malik Monk is the super-recruit that everyone wants. He’s a 6-foot-3 guard who can cut to the hoop and dunk over anyone and everyone. He can shoot the mid-range jumper, and he has terrific court vision and understanding. In short, he’s the whole package, which is precisely why the likes of Kansas’ Bill Self, North Carolina’s Roy Williams and Florida’s Billy Donovan are so desperate to land him.

Of all those reasons, nothing can compete with the athleticism you see in the jam above.

Monk threw down this dunk during his Bentonville squad’s Class 7A state title game against North Little Rock. His team-high 25 points weren’t enough to win a state crown, with North Little Rock pulling out the victory by a score of 66-59, but he did provide the most memorable play in the game.

The question you may be asking is, “Where was the North Little Rock defense?” Well, where would you have been if Monk was driving the lane as he did? That’s right, you get the heck out of the way. NLR is just lucky he didn’t do that more often.
