Basketball recruiting: St. Anthony guard Jagan Mosely talks Rutgers visit and offer

St. Anthony guard Jagan Mosely was on campus for a Rutgers visit with coach Eddie Jordan on Tuesday, the junior told NJ Advance media, where he picked up an offer from the Scarlet Knights.

"It was great," Mosely said. "They showed me around campus, we watched some of the football team's scrimmage and watched videos on the team."

Mosely spent the day with his father and Jordan, and said the visit went very well. Jordan detailed his blueprint for rebuilding the Rutgers program, which is centered on keeping talented players in the area.

"He was explaining to me the offense and his future plans — to keep the best players in Jersey, in Jersey, and go to Rutgers," Mosely said. "I'm his top priority in 2016."

Boston University (where his brother, Cheddi, will play this season), Fairfield, Brown and Niagra are other school that have offered Mosely. He's also trying to plan visits to Miami and Oklahoma, both of which have shown interest. He feels like Rutgers' system fits his playing style, and he isn't discouraged by the recent scandals in Piscataway.

"They're in a rebuilding process right now," Mosely said. "But I think they'll be back soon."
