SAGINAW, MI — Saginaw Arthur Hill basketball standout Brian Bowen earned honorable mention on the CBS Freshman All-American team.

CBS picked three teams, plus honorable mention. Bowen, a member of The Saginaw News Boys Basketball Dream Team, was the only Michigan player mentioned.

Bowen, a cousin of former Arthur Hill star Jason Richardson, averaged 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Lumberjacks.

The 6-foot-6, 175-pound forward has received a college offer from Michigan State.

CBS named Cody Riley, a 6-8 forward from Chatsworth, Calif., the Freshman Player of the Year.
