Pierre Jackson steals the show for Baylor as Isaiah Austin returns from injury

Waco Tribune-Herald

After a strong season opener derailed by an ankle sprain, Isaiah Austin helped Baylor get an 84-74 win over Boston College. Austin had 16 points and 9 rebounds, also being credited with playing solid 2nd Half defense on Eagles star sophomore Ryan Anderson, who finished with 25. The real star of the game, however, was senior PG Pierre Jackson, who finished with 31 points and 7 assists.

Jackson was chosen as the pre-season Big 12 player of the year and has been showing why with averages of 23.3 and 8.7 in Baylors first three victories. Baylor will play Colorado tonight in the semi-finals of the Charleston classic, with a chance to play either Murray State or St. John's for the title on Sunday.
