jose calderon is very underrated. there was a poll on espn for the top 16 point guards. they gave a list of 16 and calderon finished 16th. STATS: 13 points 9 assists .496 fg% .407 3% only missed 3 free throws.
with that being said what would your list look like?
stephen jackson-smooth swingman who has cleaned up his act
ramon sessions-not being appreciated for his abilities seeing as the clippers wanna bring him in as a backup...
trevor ariza-smart player who plays tough D and is very athletic
brandon bass-super athletic willing rebounder
jr smith-multi-talented swingman can REALLY score the ball
devin harris-rarely discussed-very talented guy
brook lopez-polished and tough to score on
ryan gomes-solid player can play the 2 or 3 effectively
david lee--this is obvious a 15 and 10 player with no love from anyone
beidrins 11,11, 1.5blocks, 1steal in 30 mins a game
al harrington lit it up for the knicks last season
john salmons can play the point, shoot and defend
jeff green scottie pippen clone him and durant the next best duo
caron butler top 5 sf
baron davis best pg in the league when he was with gs
Caron Butler-a tough player who can score, pass, rebound, and defends like a madman
Jarrett Jack- has no true weakness outside of mediocre to below average athleticism
John Salmons- he used to suck when he played for Philly, but now he is a point forward with good defensive ability and a sound mid range game.
Travis Outlaw- He has gotten sooo much better since he came to the NBA as a run-and-jump athlete. He has a perimeter game, better handles and he is a better passer and defender than advertised.
JR Smith- I think he is one of the most talented players in the NBA, especially offensively. Most say he doesnt play good D, but he makes a great effort to contest shots and help on weakside defensive plays. Has improved his handles to the point he can create offense for himself from all over the court and even play a little PG. May be a future All-star.
i generally agree with everyone. just going to add bargnani. granted he was not worth a 1st overall pick, but he does have a good skill set and is improving. Has decent numbers and is a dangerous shooter from anywhere and his passing ability is usually overlooked.
My top 5 underrated
baron davis best pg in the league when he was with gs- He was never the best PG...he had a good 20 games
averages wen he was with golden state compared to the rest
baron davis 19.8ppg 8.2apg 4.3rpg 1.9spg / gs
chris paul 18.5ppg 9.1apg 4.6rpg 2.1spg
deron williams 15.2ppg 8.1apg 2.9rpg 1spg

jason kidd 13ppg 9apg 7.7rpg 1.7spg

Numbers mean nothing. People forget, Golden State was a 8th seed. Davis had nice numbers but he was not the best PG.
Al Harrington- was great last year.
Oj Mayo- everyones talkin about the other talented rookies but he had a great year.
Mario Chalmers- had a great year, became one the best defensive pgs in the league and was good on offense too.
David Lee- a underrated player.
Stefon Jackson- good too.
