STOP OVERHYPING SESSIONS
Yeah I have seen him in a few games he looks like a decent player but he didnt seem like a future all star..... I know Sessions has had some big games but playing as a reserve player is a WHOLE lot diffrent than playing as a starter cause defense and players actually key in on you.... But in all fairness I would like to see him explode like you say he will, I just didnt see that type of player when I watched him play.....
My bad badger my head is filled with stuff and I just type it to let it out.
I will try to break things down better okay.
Also billyk what is your argument that he can't do what I said?
People say what a player can not do but they never back it up.
Dude is already a great nba passer.
He is also skilled enough to play the one and the two and guard both positions.
He may not be great shooter but he is a decent shooter and is clutch.
45 percent in that limited of time and really just maybe a lil over a year of experience of NBA wise for a team that stays injured is not bad.
He will go to offense with Knicks hopefully where he has more opportunity to put up big numbers.
He had I think 1 triple doubles and like two games of 20 20 and he did it with a limited amount of time and inconsistent minutes.
There are few true playmakers in the NBA and Sessions is one of them and he is young
Also dude has made some game winning shots for someone who is not a good shooter. next year he will at least shoot 48 percent.
You did a great job Knickfreak. I kind of came late had to make groceries man.
I will admit billyk that a lot of games he just seemed average but it plays d and make smart plays even when he does not do exciting stuff and his worse games was coming off the bench.
He played pretty well in the games he started. That is why I want him to get a full year of being a starter.
I will put it like this I am kind of hyping him up over what he has done but after next year what I am doing will not seem like enough.
I told you the biggest thing is guy is like a young Jason Kidd or maybe a younger Ander Miller and people dont seem to want him. Those are two great playmakers that have made their team better. At his age and he play D that is a premium. After watching him play and looking at what he can do and checking stats and watching highlights to see his greatest moments and how he did for someone that gets overlooked. I can not see why people dont see how good he is. I guess that happened to Andre Miller for awhile too and he always was a great playmaker every where he went but Session is a better defender and scorer than Miller was at that age. Jason Kidd got more minutes early on so he played better than what Sessions has done. but with that being said. There are not that many true playmakers out there and most are old.
To find a young one and one that plays D and has size so he can not get pushed around.
What else are you looking for. I know he is not the most athletic but neither is Nash and he is quick and strong enough to defend point guards even though he is not a leaper like Derick Rose and some others.
I think he also could be overlook because he is so unassuming he does stuff and he does it so smooth unless he has great stats you will not noticed it. I did not noticed him until that 20 20 game in his rookie season and even after that, I was not hyped about him like I am now.
I realize I am so hyped about Sessions because I am a huge fan of true playmakers and his other skills intrigue me. I am also intrigued with that guy that Dallas got from France or whatever dude is going to be a stud. It is so quick and controlled with it and he can pass. Also Kidd is his mentor. Every guy that Kidd mentors can pass and make plays. Think Steve Nash and also to some extent Marcus Williams who like kid can not shoot well and he also has been in the wrong places at the wrong times but hopefully he catches on with Memphis. There are other guys who played behind him but I forget them right now.
Hahaha seriously im not arguing with you...I just dont see it.... I saw Sessions a few times when he played in college with Fazekas and that dark skinned cat (Kemp I think) and I saw him a few times when he played in the league and it doesnt make sense to say he soo great when he hasnt put it together (playing time or not).... Im not saying what he cant or can do what I am saying is that he hasnt done ANYTHING in the league as yet.... To say he will put up Nash (MVP) numbers is jumping the gun... When he is a STARTER and teams are game planning aganist him lets see what type of player is... And to say a person who shoots a career 22% from three point line is a "decent shooter" makes me scratch my head... As far as him being clutch I dont think he has played a truly meaningful game in the NBA to be considered clutch... As far as the numbers he put up, alot of players in the NBA are capable of putting up big numbers in any game (thats why they are pro players).... I dont like or dislike Sessions but I feel that you are overrating him a little bit.... And I feel that there are plenty of PLAYMAKERS in the NBA.....
I dig the case you are trying to make but I gotta see him do it over the course of a season as a starter.....
will do this for the knicks 15 points 8 asts 1.5 steals
better than duhan
i think signing him wud cause a trade for duhan cuz hell be angry or they keep duhon midseason let douglass take over if he proves himself mayb but both things end up with duhan mad whatever
I think he can come close to averaging a double-double for the Knicks.
I would think
