He could be real popular in Greece. It comes down to the money versus staying home in america around your riends and family. Personally, I would probably stay in the nba. but I would only stay in NY for the one year then become unrestricted next year.

no

when you look at the contract, it has a lot of money. but is it worth going to play against former nba european prospects and american players who could not make it to the pros? not really. i would rather play in a gym with 40,00 people where im seen on abc and espn than play in a gym with not as many fans and is not as marketable.

umm

If u think about it its a win win situation, its not like he wuldnt b able 2 come back tha league... he thinks he shuld b gettin that n tha nba and some 1 else is offering him that, and josh childress has experimented wif it and it looks to b kinds sucessful 2 me..... but however I do agree about tha family and friends part and tha public exposure

its not just the salary

Nate has the no.10 highest selling jersey in America, i dont think he would keep that ranking and sponsor money if he played in Europe

Nate

He should not only take the money, but at the worst see this as a nice vacation. Greece is awesome. Plus they'll probably buy him a car and a place to stay while he's there. On top of that he will actually be playing for a championship contending team. I'm sure he will have an opt out clause after every season and I really believe that he could parlay good play there into maybe a bigger deal maybe next year or the year after when there will hopefully be more money to spare.

As for the jersey list sales, I am really surprised. Personally, I would think that some of the younger guys would be more popular and that there wouldn't be so many big men on the list. I know when I was growing up everyone was always trying to emulate the guards, hence all of these people wanting to be Michael Jordan clones today (i.e., Kobe) and all of these perimeter shooting big men that are not from Europe (i.e., KG). I think this list shows a big reason why teams would still consider signing Iverson...the guy still draws the fans despite not being what he used to be.
