it's a rumor on ESPn but again youhave to be an INSIDER, if any1 is can u please post it.....i think this is absolutely DUMB and CRAZY he is a young franchise point guard
I saw it. Man...He is worth alot...Maybe you can add some worth pieces...No wonder they took Collision.
if they trade CP3 the Hornets might as well throw the arena in too bc no one is going to watch any Hornets games there anymore
Mark Cuban started the rumor by saying Dallas offered to take back two of New Orleans' worst contracts if they'd include Chris Paul in the deal. New Orleans is REALLY struggling financially. It's clearly not happening though. You don't trade your franchise player for cap relief. They'd might as well just move the team next because fans would definitely stop showing up to games. Chris Paul is big-time in NO.
do u think it's a RETARTED move like i do?
They aren't trading Chris Paul
Paul just said that he could be traded. This whole thing got blown up for no reason.
0% chance the Hornets trade Paul
CP3 Too young and too talented......Not going to happen
New Orleans star point guard Chris Paul insisted he was serious when he said there's a chance he soon could be traded.
Paul was interviewed Thursday by Pro Basketball News, and asked about his team's financial situation. The Hornets are staring at being well over the luxury tax, and might have to dump some big contracts.
"In this league, anything can happen," said Paul, at the summer league to watch his Hornets. "I can be dealt."
Paul then was asked that surely he can't be serious he could be traded.
"It's possible," he said. "It's possible."
The Hornets made a move last February to save money by dealing center Tyson Chandler to Oklahoma City. However, the trade ended up being rescinded after health concerns surfaced regarding Chandler.
Paul is hopeful the Hornets will end up retaining their key players, but knows nothing is certain.
"Right now, it looks like the same cast," he said. "But, if something happens, it happens. ... Me and (forward James Posey say to one another that) we've got to work with what we've got and go out and play hard."
Posey hopes the Hornets won't end up again dealing Chandler.
"You never want to see it," Posey said. "But I'm a player and my job is to go out there and play hard. ... You can't control that part of it (the Hornets' money situation). You've got to control what you can."
Like I said all this was blown out of proportion.
feel bad for cp3 cause he is going to play for that team thats going to be made up of a bunch of bad players instead of having big names. if i was cp3 i would want to be traded
COME TO PHILLY! But seriously. It would be retarded as hell if they traded him.
the only way i'd trade CP3 is for D-Will. but that doesn't really make much sense. I agree, this thing was blown all out of proportion.
I'm not so sure that it won't happen. I'll go with highly unlikely, but there is a chance. I doubt that want to trade him, but the NBA is a business and when businesses struggle they tend to have to make some tough decisions. Besides, if they trade away everyone for scraps, I see Chris Paul demanding to be traded. The guy is a winner and I don't think he's going to accept losing.
I would love to see CP3 paired with another Superstar. How exciting would it be to see him with STAT, Howard, Bosh, Melo, or Lebron. Since we are on this subject, who would be the team most likely to get Paul????
franchise to who, where do the hornets want to move seattle, vegas. if they trade cp3 new orleans franchise will move also.
Never gonna happen, but imagine if CP3 played with Howard.
There would be like 10 ridiculous alley-oops a game.
If he's traded its gonna be Portland...they have loads of young talent, and some cap space, so NO wouldn't have to take back equal salary in return!!!
I know this has like a 0.5% chance of happening, but they could give up something like Bayless, Outlaw, plus another salary slightly south of a million, maybe the rights to a couple guys they have in Europe, 2 or 3 future 1st rounders...I think NO would definately have to consider it, Bayless would be a 20 PPG scorer within the next 2 years(given legit playing time), and after the 2009-10 season it would save them a huuuge amount of money, Bayless at 2 million would be the only guy still on payroll after this season, as opposed to Paul's 17mil that year!!!
not even 4 a second. its almost laughable. he's done too much 4 the city of NO. if he leaves so does hope for the city
