Top PGs in the league right now

1.Rondo
2.D.Will
3.CP3
4.T.Parker
5.Brandon J.

First of yall think im crazy wit CP3 at 3 butRight now CP3 i think has reach his peak he will not get no better than right now he still is a great pg in this league top 5 but potenial wise he done.

Tony parker gets his due cause he special at what he do and is still young make the spurs go.

D.Will is better than cp3 proves it everytime he can do anything he want shoot, pass, defend i seen him do it all.Made Milsap a rich man

Rondo wow this dude; first he cant shoot well right now but everything esle he does better than any PG in the league.and has the heart to run the boston team, just getting started in 2 years its over.

Brandon Jen. is not hype i cant wait to see him against these guys. i know summ. league isnt the NBA but the way he play is very cocky confendence is over the top im not going to hype it up but see me in 9 months.perfect for olympic team with his passing ability and defense will make lebron and company very happy.

Rondo is NOT better than

Rondo is NOT better than Paul or Williams. No way, no how. I don't think he ever will be either. Not til he stops being a jerk and learns to shoot.

No way Jennings is better than many you left off list such as Derrick Rose RIGHT NOW!

ok, well i see where your

ok, well i see where your going with Rondo being able to do everything but shoot the ball(which i think will come)
BUT, CP3 is DEFINETELY not the 3rd best PG in the league, he is still the best, for now.
D-Will is a great PG, but he isnt better than CP3.
Parker is still one of the best in the game.
But the biggest of all in my opinion...
How can you say Jennings is the 5th best PG in the league RIGHT NOW, if he has never played a game in teh NBA and will likely back up Ramon Seissions this next year?

1. Paul 2. Williams 3.

1. Paul
2. Williams
3. Parker
4. Nash
5. Rose

Paul is capable of averaging 23 12 and 3 per, on a decent team...thats good enough for my #1
Williams is a strong physical point guard with great athleticism who is only getting better
Parker is a great offensive point guard who is an improved defender and playmaker
Nash is a little past his prime, but his play making ability and great shooting are enough to make him my #4
Rose had a great rookie year, and showed he could be a game changer as a rookie, with an offseason under his belt watch out

Rondo is a close 6th for me, i could have gone either way with him or Rose, but i think Rose improves a lot next year narrowly passing Rondo for #5

what?

CP3 may have reached his potential, but jennings and rondo will probably never put up 26 and 14. CP3 just needs to stay at the pace he's at now, and he will be a top ten point guard of all time. I like williams a lot and personally think he's better all around than CP3, but sometimes i feel like he really should have been a two. In the olympics he played the two for a long time, and he was a beast at it. Rondo plays dirty (anyone see the chicago series), and isn't a very good shooter. Jennings, i think will be good, but if he's ever in the top five, it will be in at least two years, but he has all the tools to become great. Tony Parker is very good and at times carries the Spurs, who won a championship only a couple of years ago, but i don't see consistent flare in his game, he'll put up the numbers, but i don't think he has enough swagger. Where are devin harris and derrick rose?

1.CP3
2.D-Rose (personally, i like him over Williams)
3.D-Will
4.Billups
5.Parker
5. Rondo

No one else mentioned Billups?

No way a rookie is top 5, + you said :right now", a rookie cant be top 5 when he hasnt even done anything

If CP3 isnt top 2 on everybody list, then you gotta be drunk..

rose is not top 5 right

rose is not top 5 right now...im not gonna put it in order but right now..paul dwill billups parker and nash are the best 5 right now..future rose will move in as well as rondo and billups and nash will drop out but rose isnt top 5 now if he was im pretty sure he would have been a coaches pick over the other pgs for the east allstar squad..and even though i do like bjeenings theres no way i or anyone can rank him top 5 now since he hasnt played in one nba game yet

Brandon Jen. has what all

Brandon Jen. has what all these guys dont but the funny thing is i dont know what it is the way he play he makes you better and his defense is crazy like a mouse that keep daring you to catch him plus i seen him destroy rose plenty of times in 5 on 5.
Stop it nash is old and cant see nobody on my list prime example just think what Reke Evans will do to him LOL
Billups isnt needed until playoffs
D Harris is a PG that take a lot of shots to score not running his team
Rose is good but Rondo average a Triple Double on him
Just admit D Will is better than CP3 he made milsap a rich man
Rondo When that shot get right will be a 18ppg 8reb 9ast 3 stl guy

I'm not even sure if Rondo

I'm not even sure if Rondo is actually a top 5 point guard right now. To me he got put in a good situation with great players around him to be successful as of right now.

You're entitled to your own opinion, but if I could... I promise I'd give you INFINITY negative points. What... How... WHY would you think Brandon Jennings is the 5th best point guard in the NBA??? Did you mean he's your 5th most favorite point guard in the NBA?

1. CP3
2. D-Will
3. Billups
4. Parker
5. Nash

Jason Kidd is no longer a top five point guard at this point, which will happen to Billups and Nash in 2-3 seasons. When it does... Rajon Rondo, Derrick Rose & Devin Harris will be waiting to take their spots.

yea i dont have rose or

yea i dont have rose or rondo top 5 yet...and sde .jeenings cant be a top 5 pg if he hasnt even played a nba game yet..youre making no sense a player cant be ranked untill he proves what he can do in the nba..should we start including highschool and jr high players too?...what you are saying is 1. he will start over sessions 2. he will be a allstar in year one. and you said just think what evans will do to nash...but heres the thing...has he done it yet?..has it happened in reality or just in youre mind so far?..has either proven a thing in the nab yet.nope therefore they cant be included on a list of who IS the top 5 pg right now

1.Chris Paul 2.Deron

1.Chris Paul
2.Deron Williams
3.Rajon Rondo
4.Derrick Rose
5.Tony Parker

Rondo has the ability to be the best defensive PG in the league. I think he will be to. He also is an explosive player offensively with his playmaking ability and slashing. His shooting is the only thing stopping him from being his best.

Chris Paul can stand to improve his shooting and defense on the ball, so he hasnt reached his peak as those are important things. He's the best playe ron this list, he is the best playmaker and he's the best scorer. He's the only guy on this list who could rack up assists, and still lead his team in scoring.

Derron Williams isnt a real good defender yet, but he is a great offensive threat with the ability to score at all three levels and create at an elite level for his teammates. Runs the pick and roll the best in the NBA in my opinion.

Tony Parker isnt the best passer but he is still is a menace driving the ball and gets in the lane whenever he wants and has the best floater in the game. Isnt a great shooter and it holds him back to a certain extent.

Derrick Rose is more explosive than anyone on this list and is bigger or just as big (Deron Williams) than everyone on my list. He has the abililty to break ankles, get to the lane finsh in any way possible and get the and-1 by finishing through contact. Could stand to be a better passer by making good decisions, and getting a jump shot. He has the potential to be the most dominate PG on this list.

im still wondering how

im still wondering how peopel are saying rose is top 5 right now...we base all this on the most current season which would be last season correct since this season hasnt started and no one said whos the top 5 future pg...if that is the case then rose isnt on the list point blank because sthe guys on the list played better as well as d harris, jameer nelson this past season

I like tyreke evans as much as the next person but are we really going to start saying that a longtime SG who has played PG for less than 1 year in his life is going to take over and be a top 5 PG in the NBA immediately along with Brandon Jennings?

Rose has proven early on

Rose has proven early on even before he game has had time to mature that he can lead a team. He is also raw ability wise set to be better than all mentioned point guards. He will have to get hurt to not do this. He only flaw that will have to really be worked on is defense. Everything else will gradually come with time and experience. I mean if you wanted to be picky you would have to take Parker out of the top 5 as well outside of set plays. Parker is not really a true point guard. He is a combo who can run the pick and roll well with Duncan. He does really run the offense. The offense is run mostly by Duncan and Ginobli for the Spurs. When we make this list we are loosely talking about it anyway and one year which was great as Rose is enough to put him top 5 because unless he gets injured now He will be better than all those other point guards except maybe Rondo is Rondo can learn to shoot which is a big if.

parker is a very good

parker is a very good pg..hes proven that ..i didnt like him at first but hes proven that he can score or pass..he has to score more and more each year though with duncan getting hurt. if reke played pg his whole life then he has alot more to work on then i thought as far as being a nba pg because he turns it over wayyyy to much for a player who has played pg his whole life( though im curious why ever scouting service that has watched him since 8th grade has had him ranked as a sg and the article in slam a couple years ago evans said that he is a shooting guard who can play some pg)..hmmmmm

My mention of Rose because

My mention of Rose because he was the first name I thought of that was better than Jennings, which RIGHT Now, he is. I didn't mean to imply he was third best point guard in league currently. This is all opinion, but I think within 3 years, he will be best in league. Right now, he is in top 5-10. Jennings isn't in top 20, let alone top 5. Yes, he has potential, and if he develops into top guard in league next year, the point is RIGHT NOW he isn't in top 5. I don't have a clue how anyone can call Rondo best in league at this time. Paul and Williams are clearly top 2 in either order. 2nd rung includes guys like Parker, Rondo, Rose. Billups, Nash, Harris, Nelson and a few others. Jenniings, Flynn, Rubio and others have POTENTIAL. Rondo can move up list, but in no point in time do I ever expect him to top list.

No love for Arenas?????? Top

No love for Arenas??????

Top 15
In my opinion

1. CP3 - The best in teh league , does everything
2. D-Will - Can average a near 20 and 10 .
3. Parker - Championship winner, great scorer and passer.
4. Rondo - If he learns how the shoot the ball, he'll be top 2.
5. Arenas - He's gonna come back huge off the injury.
6. Billups - Great leader and shooter .
7. Harris - Great scorer, watch him be even better without carter.
8. Nelson - All star PG last year, will contend for a title this year.
9. Rose - Great potential, Will likely be top 5 in a couple years.
10. Westbrook - See Rose .
11. Nash - Aging, but will always be a great passer.
12. Kidd - Aging, but is always a triple double threat
13. Ford - Not a great shooter, but probably the fastest player in the league.
14. Brooks - Had a good postseason, will be even better this year with Yao and T-Mac out most of the season.
15. Sessions - A triple double threat, Ramon closes out the top 15.

Then theres..
Andre Miller, Jose Calderon, Rodney Stuckey, Mo Williams, Baron Davis, Raymond Felton

My List

1. Chris Paul
2. Chauncey Billups
3. Tony Parker
4. Deron Williams
5. Derrick Rose

I don't understand how people can argue that Nash is one of the top 5 point guards in the league.

i agree

with sde on rondo. its def a scary thought that this guy is so good already and still hasnt even got a jump shot. if rondo ever does get it look out. I also agree on cp3. he cant really get any better than he already is. he's done pretty much everything he possibly can. yes he is good but realistically he cant gaurd many of the bigger point guards in the league. Deron is the best PG in the league regardless of wat anyone thinks. he cant be guarded and he has a toughness in him credited to jerry sloan. but i think deron is 1 and cP is 2.

Deron WIlliams

I think Deron Williams is the best point guard in the NBA. I watch him everyday and here is a scouting report for the rest of you who can't watch him play much.

He won't ever get any love from the masses as long as he plays in Utah, but I don't think he cares. Has shown he can be a lock-down defender in crunch time. True leader. Always finds the open man. Led the NBA in Assists per 48 minutes. Played injured most of last year. Clutch on both offense and defense. Knows when it is OK to be flashy. Can throw a perfect halfcourt alley-oop pass, pass between his legs or pass off the back-board. Only dunks when he knows it will embarrass somebody. Has the best crossover in the NBA, and one of the best mid-range games to go along with it. Can't get backed down by any other point guard in the NBA. Can successfully post up, and has backed down even the other stronger points such as Billups, Kidd and Baron Davis. Has major 3 point range but saw a bit of a drop-off this season after his pre-season injury. Very good free throw shooter at 85%. Durable. Dominates other major point guards, such as Chris Paul. Moves well without the ball, sets screens and cuts to the hoop. When his offensive game is off he won't force anything and can find his teammates (20 assists against Golden State), but he can also carry his team (5 straight games with 30+ points on 50% shooting, only point guard to do so since Pistol Pete). With his remarkably powerful, quick first step, can get by anybody in the NBA.

Chris Paul is amazing too. Maybe somebody who is a big New Orleans fan could write a scouting report.

I just don't think there should be any question that CP3 and D-Will are the best two points in the NBA.

Calipari played Tyreke at PG for a few reasons:

1. Rose went to the NBA and Andre Allen graduated
2. If you have ever seen Memphis play you would know that Willie Kemp should never, ever be allowed to touch the ball unless he is shooting it, plus he is a huge liability on defense.
3. No one else was available.
4. He already had an experienced SG in Antonio Anderson and he needed to give Robert Sallie minutes at SG too.

i can tell u dont watch the games they play because u are a complete idiot saying when they go head 2 head cp3 gets the better of deron. I can tell ur jus a cp3 fan and not a fan of the game cuz u jus dick rided ur way 2 a false statement. Last time i checked deron was 12-2 against cp3. and he always puts up big numbers against cp3 becuase he and everyone else on the court knows cp can guard him. Cp usually has his worst numbers of the season when he plays against deron and thats becuase deron locks his a$$ up!! cmon bruh if u gone try a deron williams fan at least come with some real information.

It's like I said dude. There is no point in trying to talk to some people. As long as Deron Williams plays for Utah people will hate on him.

"Chris Paul dominates Deron Williams when they play each other."
"Chris Paul has the size advantage on Deron Williams."
"Jesus loves Chris Paul more than Deron Williams."

Get used to it...

Unless iguodala9 was being sarcastic... It's kind of hard to tell on a computer screen.

Yea, Utah beats the Hornets

Yea, Utah beats the Hornets if you go by their records. True, that when you take in account team records. But head to head, and statistically, Chris Paul outplayed him in every game except 2 games their whole careers. One was on Feb 4, 2008 and the other was on April 8th, 2008. Im looking at the box scores and the stats Paul put up blows Deron Williams numbers out the water. Stats never lie in head-to-head situations.

OK

Chris Paul: 15.9 points on 42% shooting, 8.9 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 turnovers, 2 wins.

Deron Williams: 17.2 points on 55% shooting, 8.2 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 2.9 turnovers, 11 wins.

Deron Williams played in one game that Chris Paul didn't.

Chris Paul doesn't seem to be dominating Deron Williams, I don't know what stats you are looking at.

Personally...

I'd take,

D Will (to easy, on his own at the top)
CP3 (Many only complaint is his attitude and his inability to D up bigger guards)
Billups (sure he's aging, but CP still couldn't handle him imposing his will on the game)
T Parker (so smooth on the pick and roll)

After these four you could make a case for several players.

DWILL

I personally think that he is the best point guard in the league, but I understand the argument for Chris Paul and think that it is a valid one. On the otherhand I think that it is ridiculous that there are people on this site listing him as the 3rd or 4th best. In my opinion there are two tiers of point guards.

CP3 and Deron Williams

and Everyone else.
