Dwyane Wade is the only guard

Dwyane Wade is the only guard (outside of Kyrie Irving) in the East putting up 19+ PPG, 3+ RPG, and 3+APG. He's also doing it while shooting over 50%, unlike Kyrie Irving.

Who else would take his spot?

My picks are based.....

My picks are based on who should make it, and not on starting line-ups because that's up to the many fans who vote. For example, I think that david lee is playing better than dwight howard. But I have a feeling that dwight howard is about to go into beast mode and start playing in a more dominate way and higher level. Because the Lakers need him to play better for them to win games. Which will hopefully justify my reason for picking him to be an all-star

These are just my personal

These are just my personal choices

East backcourt:
Rajon Rondo, Dwyane Wade, Monta Ellis, Jrue Holiday, Deron Williams

Honorable mentions: Brandon Jennings, Raymond Felton, Kyrie Irving

East frontcourt:
Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Joakim Noah, Paul Pierce, Al Horford, Josh Smith

Honerable mentions: Luol Deng, Brook Lopez, Anderson Varejao

West backcourt:
Russell Westbrook, Tony Parker, Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, James Harden

Honerable mentions: OJ Mayo, Stephen Curry, Ty Lawson

West frontcourt:
Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, Dwight Howard, Blake Griffin, Tim Duncan, Zach Randolph, David Lee

Honerable mentions: Lamarcus Aldridge, Al Jefferson, Rudy Gay

Some pretty hard cuts this year. Gonna be even harder as some of the stars come back from injury, such as Dirk, Wall, Rose, Granger, Amare and Bynum (if he ever does come back). And those are just the top stars..

I'd really like to see Josh

I'd really like to see Josh Smith finally make it. It's hard to put Irving and Varaejao in there due to their team record but they're both playing at an all-star level.

What case can you make for

What case can you make for Kevin Love over Al Jefferson, Zach Randolph or David Lee?

I understand Love was injured at the beginning of the season, but he's not played close to as well as those three players.

Just my thoughts...

West:

Starters: Chris Paul, Kobe, KD, Griffin, Howard

Reserves: Rudy Gay, Marc Gasol (or Randolph), Westbrook, Harden, Mayo, Aldridge, Tony Parker

East Starters:, Rondo, Wade, Lebron, Anthony and should be Anderson Varejao

Reserves: Bosh, Smith, Felton, Holiday, Williams, Pierce and George

Ofcourse some players will get snubbed but you have to account for the way their team is playing along with the dumbness of the fans. Keep it 100, 2 players dont deserve to be in the all star game from the Lakers but they'll be voted in for sure! Irving is playing at an allstar level but you cant tell me he's playing better than Varejao and the Cav's dont deserve 2 reserve spots. Felton is a throw in because NY is playing so well, you have to have another player to represent them. George was a throw in just because of his position and he is playing well enough to be a 12th man. I'm in Philly and Holiaday is playing like the best player on the team so that was a hometown pick. Thats pretty much it, you can make a case for Jennings, Lawson, Chandler (or Felton) depending on who makes it from NY but all the players i picked deserve to be on the team.

West Chris Paul - Russell

West

Chris Paul - Russell Westbrook - Tony Parker
Kobe Bryant - James Harden
Kevin Durant - Rudy Gay
Tim Duncan - Blake Griffin - David Lee
Dwight Howard - Zach Randolph

(If Kevin Love get's his numbers back up and the Wolves start winning, he can take David Lee's spot)

East

Rajon Rondo - Deron Williams - Kyrie Irving
Dwyane Wade - Jrue Holiday
LeBron James - Josh Smith
Carmelo Anthony - Chris Bosh
Kevin Garnett - Brook Lopez - Joakim Noah

(If Paul Pierce gets his shooting % up and Boston gets in the top-4 in the East, he can take Chris Bosh or Josh Smith's spot)

I was going to disagree with

I was going to disagree with you on Holiday, but I looked up the numbers and I think you're right. You have a pretty strong list here, but I think Varejao should be considered over Brook Lopez.
