FMP 123 – Lituvos Rytas 110

The battle of undefeated teams turned out to be a lopsided affair as FMP's efficiency and speed was too much for Rytas to handle.
The game started out close but FMP was able to build a double digit lead toward the end of the first half. They then went on a 8-0 run to start the second half quickly building the lead to over 20.
FMP repeated as champs winning a high scoring affair 123-110, as ultimately they had too much firepower to match up with. Rytas had scored exactly 110 in their Saturday game winning by 47, and if you had told them ahead of time they would score 110 again against FMP they probably would have been content. Unfortunately, they could never get any stops as FMP scored effortlessly throughout.
Coming out of the halftime break, Rytas looked gassed and FMP jumped on them blowing the game wide open. They held a steady 20 point lead throughout the 3rd and until the closing minutes when Rytas made a final push. Lituvos struggled throughout the game to get stops as FMP scored off the break on numerous occasions.

FMP wing Filip Duran had 23 points on a near perfect 9-10 from the floor. He converted on a statement dunk off the break in the closing minutes.
Inspirational point guard Nenad Miljenovic earned first team all tourney honors with another strong performance making great decisions setting teammates up and scoring off the drive. He was 2 boards away from a triple double with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists.
Jonas Valanciunas finished with 22 points in 22 minutes. His coach only plays him in 5 minute stretches throughout to keep him fresh at the end of the game. His lack of elite athleticism was more apparent against the bigger and talented FMP team. He has a long way to go physically, but his length and agility is intriguing.
Scrappy Rytas shooting guard Mantas Kadzevicius had a team high 25 points on 7-13 shooting.
The best game of the week ended up being FMP's lackluster performance on the first day in which they almost lost to Alba Berlin. After that the machine began to roll and no one would slow them down.
