Devendorf plans to return to Syracuse
First off, even if Johnny Flynn does return (which he won't) Syracuse will not be the Syracuse preseason # 1. Secondly, DEVENDORF IS NOT THE BEST AT DRIVING YOU IDIOT HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF TY LAWSON? Heck, even Johnny Flynn is twice the penetrator that Dev is. Please...please get off Dev's "you know what". It is really annoying.
The reason he is coming back is because he prolly wouldn't be a first rounder and he has no true position....is he a sg or a pg and I don't see them as number one after Flynn leaves or before for that matter...not even number one in the big east
Hey, TY LAWSON DOESN'T SHOOT WITH HIS LEFT HAND IDIOT. Not only that, but it's true. Who's better shooting with both hands. I've been on here saying it all season! And finally I have some backup. READ HIS PROFILE ON THIS WEBSITE! LOL.
You said GOING TO THE BASKET....what does that have to do with shooting? Your talking about driving. Ty Lawson is a better driver with either hand compared to Dev. Btw Dev will never get past the d-league.
How can Syracuse not be preseason Number one with their top 11 players coming back ? Hello? Also, a redshirted point guard, a highly toughed freshmen center, a big time small forward transfer. Somebody keep track of this and we'll see. And how many times does Flynn have to say he's returning?
One last thing. Doesn't anyone remember Devendorf playing point guard for Syracuse his sophomore season? Isn't everyone on here supposed to be baskeball pundits? Ok then. So we all remember! He was a all-league performer. Once he tore his ACL, and when when Flynn came to town, he had to alter is style. You guys gotta get better. Foreal.
Dev is not a POINT GUARD...He has a bad a/t ratio. Aside from his shooting, nothing about his game stands out. AND, even if Flynn DOES return the Orange are not going to be the preseason number 1. I think Nova will be number 1. Btw, im a UNC so im not bias.
He started at point guard the whole season what are you talking about. Dude, really, learn you stuff. He's been a point guard his whole life until this season. Are you serious?
not if UNC gets Wall...
pg: Wall, Drew
sg: strickland, mcdonald, watts
sf: Ginyard, graves, david wear
pf: henson, travis wear
c: ed davis, thompson
Dude, I DONT CARE IF HE STARTED AT POINT GUARD...THAT DOES NOT MEAN HE WILL PLAY POINT GUARD IN THE NBA. If you seriously think Dev will play PG in the NBA, then you by all means are dumb. Dev does not have the athleticism, speed, ball handling and passing ability to play PG in the NBA. He also is to undersized to play SG in the NBA. Looks like hes going overseas to go play with Jannero Pargo after his senior year because no way in hell is he landing a roster spot in the NBA. Also, how the hell does he get a 7/10 for potential, but BRANDON ROY gets a 6/10? God, sometimes this site drives me crazy.
Fist of all, I never mentioned the NBA. I said he was the best in college basketball shooting with his right and left hand. NBA wise, it depends. But he might can play the point in the NBA. Hell Steve Blake is playing the position. Even former Syracuse point guard Jason Hart is still playing. There's a position for him in the NBA. Now, for all that stuff you said earlier, and now you want to go off on the Web site. Face it dude, you don't know basketball.
He wouldve made a big mistake if he wouldve declared, thinking he was a lock to get drafted or something. He is a good/great college player but players with his athleticism usually fail
That's the first smart thing I heard you say. And, if you go back to my first post, I said I only wished he had more athleticism. He's also a white guy. No offense, but there aren't many of them playing in the NBA. Funny thing is, had he changed him name to Ericfona Devendorf and said he was from Italy, he probably be a first-round pick.
Whichever Tobacco Road team gets Wall will probably be ranked preseason #1 (Duke/UNC). Syracuse has zero shot of being #1, although top 5 could be possible. Flynn will get drafted, his coach even told him so.
Everything I said made sense. I know basketball. You're the one who said Dev is the best at driving. Also, please don't compare him to Steve Blake. Steve is ten times the player Dev will ever be.
What are you two smoking? I outa report both of your posts as offensive. LOL! Ha. Ha. Ha. Devendorf just broke the Big East Conference scoring record! And in probably the toughest conference of all-time. Yall trippin. What did Steve Blake do? He's cool. He's no Devendorf though.
Ok, name a player in the NCAA who shoots better with both hands then Devendorf and I'll drop the subject. The last person I saw with as left-handed shot that was as good as his right was Jeryl Sasser from Texas Tech. Yall probably don't even know who that is LOL. I'm way too nice with this!
Of all the players who's jock you could ride why Devedorf? Now even though I have never liked this kids attitude, I did think he had some potential before his ACL injury. He has always had a decent jumper with range and before the injury he could get to the hole and do some things, so I kind of see where your coming from with finishing with either hand because he was a slick finisher before the ACL. But NOW......he is no where near the player he was before, and if you really are a fan of his and you are being honest you have to admit that. He is heavier (and not from muscle) and has lost any athleticism and explosiviness he used to have. His game is shooting 3s now and he gets those shots off of Flynn's penetration, if Flynn leaves then Dev is gonna have a hard time getting his shot against good squads. The jock you should be riddin' (if you must) is Rautins, that kid can really stroke it with mad range.
A lot of DEV haters here eh? He never misses when he drives with either hand, he probably uses his weaker hand more than his stronger hand, that's how good he is! He will be the PG next year and could make an impact... look if Chris Quinn and Dan Dickau made the NBA there's no reason why Devendorf wont, he is a stronger, more athletic version of GMAC, although not quite the shooter and doesn't possess the leadership quality but he is a player!
Steve Blake lead the Terps to the national championship, plays waaaaayyyy better defense than Dev and we know Blake can actually play point guard at a high level (btw Blakes starts over Bayless who would destroy Dev). I doubt Dev could start at the point for any team in the NBA (which Blake does). And I dont get it.... who cares if he could score with both hands. As and NBA prospect Devendorf is a short, slow, unathletic 2 guard with a decent shot.

Aw, yeah, Devendorf is coming back to Syracuse next season. He won't declare for the NBA draft.

He's the best in college basketball at going to the basket with his right or left hand. I only wish he was a little more athletic.
With Devo, Flynn, the small forward transfer from Iowa State and a highly touted center, Syracuse will be preseason number 1.
Do I hear national champs!!!!!!
