Man i keep hearing about it everywhere as though the Rockets will try anything this offseason to workout a sign and trade for him.

They would have to ship around 13-15 million out.

trade possibilities: (salaries)
1)Aaron Brooks - 2 mil
2)Trevor Ariza - 6 mil
3)Shane Battier - 7 mil
4)Kevin Martin - 11 mil
5)Jordan Hill - 2 mil

6)Luis Scola - Sign and trade bait prob 7-8 mil

which package of players do u think they will choose to trade for bosh?

Luis Scola

HAHA I can definatly see Luis Scola fitting in perfectly with Toronto.
They'll have an international Lineup of:

Pg - Jose Calderon
Sg - Marco Belinelli
Sf - Hedo Turkoglu
Pf - Luis Scola
C - Andrea Bargnani

How crazy is that Mix? haha
I think it would be a first in the NBA.

Rockets

If I am Morey, I would certainly not include Scola or Battier in any deals. They are the keys to build a champion team. Battier and Scola are tough warriors, leaders, glue guys that any championship teams would need. I think if the Rockets want to win a championship, they can't let Battier or Scola go.

I would push for trading away Kevin Martin. As good as he is, he would be the 3rd or 4th option on the Rockets team and I am pretty sure with that much depth, Martin wouldn't score enough to justify his salary. @11mil a season, he is certainly the best chip to send to the Raptors.

I think the Rockets have a real shot at Chris Bosh, they got tones of assets to trade to the Raptors. As long as they can keep both Bosh and Yao healthy, the rockets team would be a champion contender for sure.

Why Bosh would go to Houston:
1) Bosh would be #1 option
2) Yao would be the big man in the post that Bosh had been hoping to get
3) the Rockets have a legit shot at winning it all
4) Houston is nearby Bosh's hometown (i think it's Dallas actually)
5) Yao is a cash cow. Bosh can certainly benefit from the china exposure
6) Yao is a great teammate, Adelman is a great coach. The Rockets team has great chemistry. Bosh is also a mild manner nice guy, so they should mash well.

I think the Raptors would try to dump Turk and/or Calderon on the Rockets in any S&T deals, and in that case, I would go for Jose Calderon. Jose Calderon is a capable pass-first PG with a good shooting touch for a half court oriented offense.

Bosh to Rockets just make too much sense to all parties (Rockets/Raptors/Bosh).

Trading pieces

Houston should make the following available:

Kevin Martin @ 11 mil
Jared Jeffries @ 6.8 mil (expiring)
Jordan Hill @ 2.7 mil
David Andersen @ 2.5 mil (expiring)

Maybe included:
Aaron Brooks @ 2 mil or Kyle Lowry @??? (if Jose Calderon is included in the deal)
Trevor Ariza @ 6.3 mil (if Turk is included)
Chuck Hayes @ 2.3 mil

A pick or two maybe added also.

My preferred trade:

Kevin Martin @ 11 mil
Jared Jeffries @ 6.8 mil (expiring)
Jordan Hill @ 2.7 mil
David Andersen @ 2.5 mil (expiring)
Aaron Brooks @ 2 mil
pick or picks

for

Chris Bosh @ max
Jose Calderon @ 9 mil

Then the Rockets re-sign Scola and Lowry @ reasonable price. Sign Brad Miller and/or Rasho Nesterovic to back up Yao.

Calderon / Lowry
Ariza / Budinger / Taylor
Battier / Harris (pick up option)
Bosh / Scola / Hayes (if not traded)
Yao / Miller or Rasho

Bosh to Hou

It makes sense for Houston particularly if Yao is back. They would have 7+" and 6'10" size up front vs LA. Really it is the only piece they need other than pg. Toronto is primed to make some mistakes here and D.Morey is just the type of guy to take advantage of that. I could imagine a trade that puts Donnie Walsh in the hot seat:

Jordan Hill (2.6mm) to replace Bosh)
Jared Jefferies (6.5mm expiring contract)
Shane Battier (7.3mm expiring)
Houston 2010 1st round pick or a Knick pick (which becomes more valuable when the one real FA target they could sign ends up in Houston)

That is around 16.5mm which is close to the money Houston will pay Bosh.

Toronto might do this trade because former #8 pick Jordan Hill could replace Bosh as pf, they need some defensive minded players (Jefferies and Battier) and they get some cap flex into '11 and a #1 pick. That might keep Colangelo from getting pelted by eggs at home games.

Morey will be hailed as a Hoop genius since he/Houston would then have in effect "traded" McGrady's expiring contract and 32 y/o Shane Battier's '11 expiring contract for Chris Bosh in his prime and a pick switch with the Knicks.

Since 3 of the 4 assets Toronto gets were Knicks assets a few months ago, Donnie Walsh might have to leave town before sun up...

G's-Brooks and Martin--Shooters
F's-Ariza and Bosh--Defensive stopper and post threat
C- Yao- best skilled big in the league

@Mr.6000. I agree with you

@Mr.6000. I agree with you 100%. The rumor is that Toronto is really interested in Hill, so I'm sure he'll be included. Scola, after being signed, would have to be included as well.

That would leave one player left. I doubt they'd trade Brooks, Ariza or Martin. That leaves Battier.

Remember that Bosh has to

Remember that Bosh has to agree to the deal...I'm not sure why he would go to the team if they were giving up half their team up for him. Giving up Brooks, Battier, Martin? Houston would be terrible and Bosh probably wouldn't want to be apart of that...
