Exactly you have a kid who probably has fans and friends saying the same thing of what HE should do even if its not something he really wants to do. People telling him what his aim should be. yeah thats no pressure at all to some kids
It's actually not that bad. It's not like I'm a 35 year old man who called someone who's acting like a loser a loser. I'm probably the exact same age as Terrence Jones is.
I wouldnt call him a loser, its just a case of being immature, loyalty is huge in basketball if he doesnt really know what school he wants to go to, and flip, flops, like this i have a hard time thinking hes gonna be a team player.
^^^ exactly on the point of not calling him a loser. Not sure why you would find it hard to think hes a team player though when his on the court play suggests other wise. lets not get this incident mixed with what he does on the court. if we did that then we have to question so many players on the court decisions with what they have done in there personal life..example..jason kidd on the court vs things he has done in his marriage off the court
I have no idea what the two schools are saying to terence, but i hope that both cal and lorenzo romar are taking the high road and allowing him the freedom to make his own mind and change his mind if he wants. From what i read, cal is telling jones how he is letting down a bunch of people after he already made his choice, which is pretty bush league coming from a millionaire coach. He can continue to recruit all he wants, but if he is trying to guilt trip terence like he owes him and the kentucky fans something, that's wrong.
He told him(from what i read) that hes making alot of people happy and sad. This is something that most of the top coachs that we love do when a player just has a verbal and not a written. its not a written nor unwritten rule in the coaching circles although any coach that gets that verbal likes it. People may not like it and think that recruiting is just so nice and neat but its very cut throat. these coach's go into the grey all the time and bend the rules as much as they can in order to get a player because as much as some like to argue about it its a business. its sad that its gotten to that point but once you bring in so much money thats exactly what it becomes and when you have coach's jobs on the line it gets closer and closer to a death match in a way..lol
Some examples of the things some very respectable coachs have done(wont name names) while ive played at Abca camp, vegas and while in vegas watching aau games
Magically go into the bathroom at the exact same time a recruit they want is in there when there is a no contact rule
have a friend of the school talk to the recruit when theres a no contact
Tell a recruit that another coach is about to have his school on probation even when they arent after the recruit has already verbally committed
Had a Freshmans family get a 50percent decrease on there house from a booster
Trip and fall in front of a recruit so the recruit will help them up and talk to them a lil
I heard Josh Huestis has decided to not go to Stanford, and rather go to Montana because he wants to be near his family. Josh Huestis told me this.
I was there! I was there. He said he "DIDN'T WANT TO DISAPPOINT HIS FAMILY" but didn't feel comfortable with the expectations put on him by his uncle.
Id tell him he's crazy..lol..but id back him on the decision. Also he already signed his LOI which is the only thing thats binding not verbal
Did you see the two people there calling him a loser for it?
He actually said he is doing this because he felt like he disappointed his uncle Quincy Hodges for not going with his heart.
i Think they said there college decision was just as important to other people as his is.
Quincey, your avatar under your user name. Is that you???
He actually said he wasnt sure why the two guys kept bothering him about it as they walked around with there extra small starwars shirts on
I am pretty sure I was wearing my montana jersey that said Huestis on the back.
Then he said they asked him to sign there starwars action figures that they still have in the box
"He actually said he wasnt sure why the two guys kept bothering him about it as they walked around with there extra small starwars shirts on"
He is trying to roast!!
naw he said starwars extra small shirt that had " virgin and proud of it" written on the back
not Roasting thats what really happened after he said he's going to Montana.
Knicksfan7 had on a Montana throwback with Huestis on it. And he had it on backwards so the Huestis could be seen easily.
I had on a Stanford jersey, jean shorts, and some Sperry's. As I looked on in disappointment, as our star recruit took his skills elsewhere. :/
ya'll must have chaged it then cuz im with josh looking at the picture ya'll took with him.. two starwars xtra smalls with "virgin and proud of it" written on the back of one and "Me and my mom are bff's" on the back of the other
Quincey you would love that.
lol, i gotta give quincey props on this one.
