Lebron to win MVP

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5150987

Not trying to be a hater, but how does Kobe only have 1 MVP and he's the closet thing the NBA has seen to Michael Jordan. Lebron will have two. Nash has two (don't get me started). Kobe has 1. The league and the sports writers have long had it out for Kobe. Maybe not in the last two season, but in the past, which explains why Dirk and others have MVPs, while Kobe is stuck with one. Also, I'm not a Kobe fan. I'm a Melo fan because he played at Syracuse.

because kobe didnt deserve

because kobe didnt deserve it...

lebron averaged 29.7 pts 8.6 ast 7.9 reb 1.6 stl 1blk 50.3 Fg% while leading his team to the best record..

KOBE averaged 27 pts 5ast 5.4reb 1.5stl 0.3blk 45% fg

NOW lets compare both those to jordans Best single season stats.. this was his 88-89 year

32.5pts 8reb 8ast 2.9stl 0.8blk 53%fg

so dhamp looks like ur wrong again.. looks like lebron is a LOT more like jordan than kobe...

@esperanzafleet69 He's not

@esperanzafleet69

He's not saying that Kobe deserved it this season genius. He's saying that Kobe should have more than one MVP when he was the best player in basketball for a large amount of time. The voters found reasons not to give it to him. Kobe should have three MVP's in my opinion.

Lebron has zero Jordan

Lebron has zero Jordan traits. Zero! Moving on...Kobe has been hated on since before the rape case. Why? Because of his personality. Kobe knew he would be at the very position he is in today, and he was very cocky about it. He knew that one day he would retire with atleast 7 rings and he figured his haters would then have to love him anyway. But the rape case ruined it all. He will still have 7 rings by time he retires but the rape case lets people say Jordan is still better, and it even lets people say the ringless Lebron is better. HOWEVER..... Kobe did have 3 chances to overcome the rape charge and possibly pass Michael as he originally intended.

1. 2004 NBA Finals. If they had they won that championship and had Kobe gotten finals MVP the people would've forgotten about the rape charge. America loves winners.

2. In 2006 if he went and scored 101 instead of 81. I think he was hott enough during that time period to go for it if he wanted to be selfish. That single scoring record alone causes people to question who is really the best ever, Michael or Wilt. Not Michael or Russell (11 rings), but Michael or Wilt (100 points)

3. If Kobe would have won that series against the Suns in 2006. The last series before he changed his number. He played remarkably to get that series to 3-1. Had he closed it out I believe his career could have taken a turn.

i get it butlerbulldogs...

i get it butlerbulldogs... kobe def should have more than one, cause of that steve nash press vote debocle... but i still think lebron is light years ahead and should be one of the only players to even be compared to jordan..

as for sup you are obviously wrong... look at stats above... those look pretty jordanesque to me..

also in my opinion i dont think either michael or wilt was the best player... id go with magic..

Your stats are "wrong."

Your statement is "wrong." Jordan averaged 37 points one year, that to me is his best statistical season.

Esperanzafleet69............Y

Esperanzafleet69............You have no clue what you're talking about. Kobe has been in the NBA for 14 years and one MVP. Come on. The voters hated on Kobe so much. Steve Nash can't hold Kobe's jock and Phoenix never goes anyway in the playoffs. Nash is ALLERGIC to defense, and yet he wins TWO MVPs. Hmmmmmm. Sounds fishy to me.

One reason Kobe only has one

The MVP is given to the Most Valuable Player in the league so it's hard to give the MVP to the second most dominate person on ones team. Kobe spent most of his Career teamed up with Shaq. You see he didn't win his first until after Shaq left. Now that he is the total face of the Lakers he should win more but I predict that Kevin Durant will end his career with more MVP's than Kobe.

Wade probably won't ever win a MVP

With Lebron, Durant, and Howard in his way. Also can't count out CP3 and the rest of the top PGs.

Caz Kobe played with Shaq

Caz Kobe played with Shaq when they won those 3 titles after that Kobe's teams weren't title contenders till 07-08.
I though the year he won it Chris Paul was gonna win it but Kobe doesn't put up the asts and reb numbers Lebron does.
He might be Mr. 4th qtr and clutch but aren't most of those moments in the playoffs and MVP is for the regular season.
Also Lebron led his team to the best record in the league as well.
The reason Kobe lost out to Nash in 06 was becaz w/out Amare Nash still had the Suns in contention for a title and the Lakers I'm not sure but they might've been a 6th seed.
No way was Kobe ever going to get the award playing with Shaq in his prime even if Kobe was considered the best player in the league.

Here's a list of the past MVP winners since the 90's

i think kobe should have 2.

i think kobe should have 2. I siad it before, but the year nash won his second one should have gone to kobe.

Kobe: 35.4ppg...5.3rpg...4.5apg...1.8stl...3.1to's

nash: 18.8ppg...4.2rpg...10.5apg...0.8stl...3.5to's

Kobe also made all defenisive first team and gaurded the other teams best player every night. The lakers won 45 and the suns won 55, but when you consider the lakers started luke walton, kwame brown, smush parker and lamar odom, i think kobe should be praised for getting 45 wins.

The worst part, is that not only did kobe not win, he finished 4th and a lot of people didnt even include him in their top 5 for mvp votes. Ridiculous.

also wanted to say congrats

also wanted to say congrats to lebron this year. He earned both his mvps and this year it wasnt even close. Also, just to prove im not trying to knock nash, i thought he should have won it the year thye gave it to dirk. It was his best statistical season and even he said it was his best seaosn. unfortunately, a lot of voters werent gonna vote for him to get 3 in a row.
