Reke did deserve it come on

Reke did deserve it come on how many player averages what he did in any season let alone their rookie season and it gave Kings fans hope even though they did not win much this year but remember that is how the Thunder was. Durant came and people were happy but they still lost and now in his 3rd year and with a good coach they are a 50 win team but unfortunately they are in West where 50 wins is needed to just make it in the playoffs and they will lose to the Lakers who should win it all so they cant feel that bad.

Regular Season

I give it to Jennings because you don't play the game for the regular season, it's all about the playoffs. Jennings has shown that not only can he lead a team to the playoffs, he can also lead them in the playoffs. Not to many rookies have done that.

but the votes have nothing

but the votes have nothing to do with the playoffs. They are done based on the regular season.

De Ja Vu

Back in 2003-2004 the same thing happen

Rookie A averaged 20-5-5
Rookie B averaged 21-6-3

Rookie A was in the weak Eastern Conference
Rookie B was in the dreaded Western Conference

Rookie A won Rookie of the Year
Rookie B got robbed

IMO
if Rookie B didnt win that award it should've been a tie but everyone was on Rookie A's dick vitale

we know who I'm talkin about and true basketball fans will agree with me

as for Tyreke and Brandon i'll give you this stat

if Sacremento was in the East they'd still miss out on the playoffs plus Jennings had a double nickel(55) come on now so i'd go with Young Buck over Reke Havoc

I respect ur opinion my man but that double nickel was just one game... If you sum up all the 82 games he played, I bet 60% of those games where games wherein he shot 37-40% from the field... He had a woeful shooting season which puts a big ? on his record for a ROY award... Tyreke may be on a losing team but his ability to put up consistent numbers is what made it so special and deserving NOT TO MENTION the guys who belong in that 20 5 and 5 category in their rookie year.... That's a hell of an elite group...

I understand this is a

I understand this is a regular season award, but one guy is in the playoffs the other guy is watching it. Taking it to an excellent Hawks team. Besides, how many people really thought the Bucks would be in the playoffs? Maybe be in the next few years not not this one.

Both players put up really impressive numbers you almost forget they're rookies. I think it should be a a co ROY award. I'm sure people will &$#%#&@! about that, they both had a phenomenal regular season putting up vet stats all the while making the game look so easy.

dont get me wrong Jennings

dont get me wrong Jennings did stuff that do not show up on stats but Tyreke played like a mini Lebron. ROY should be the best overall rookie not best rookie on a winning team. Also i would have given it to Curry before Jennings. Jennings hurt himself by starting good and fading some when Curry and Evans came on hard.

I understand what you're

I understand what you're saying but and I'm not comparing the two, but I rarely heard anyone complain about AI's shooting percentage. And we all know the volume shooter he was, and that's was for day one. I do think Jennings takes to may shot bad shots for a PG.

playoffs don't count for the

playoffs don't count for the ROY, but he's had a hell of a last 2 plus months.
He's impressed me a lot esp. in the playoffs but that award means very lil.
The experience he's getting in the playoffs is great esp. for a rookie and if they make the 2nd round which is what it looks like only going to learn more. They wouldn't have much of a chance against the Magic becaz they have no answer for Howard but the team is still scrappy.

the bucs are in the PLAYOFFS !!!

roy stands for rookie of the year, not the season, not the playoffs...the year. brandon jennings should be the rookie of the year. his team is not only in the playoffs but they are probably going to win the first round with him being a large reason why. nothing against evans or curry but they are not in the playoffs.

I have to go with

I have to go with mrhunter05's argument. It's not Rookie of the Season. It's Rookie of the Year.

Tyreke just won it. Steph

Tyreke just won it. Steph 2nd, Jennings 3rd. Sounds about right.

Wow, Stephen 2nd? I didn't

Wow, Stephen 2nd? I didn't think he had that good of a season. I would have had

Evans-Jennings-Curry

Also, the ROY award has been robbed for many years

Amare over Yao?

Lebron over Carmelo?

while it is called rookie of

while it is called rookie of the year, all votes in regards to MVP, ROY, Most improved, All nba teams, defensive player, 6th man are based on the regular season and not the playoffs. That is not my opinion, that is actually how it is written and done by the nba.
