Toughest Basketball Question
Easy... It's between MJ and Kobe for me, both of whom I think could get a good shot off on LeBron.
On another note... Is the NBA so watered down defensively that LeBron is the best wing/perimeter defender in the NBA??? Wow... That's sad.
He's not the best perimeter defender, I would say that's Shane Battier or Ron Artest (In the Playoffs)
But LeBron is a 6'9" player with like a 7ft wingspan and maybe with a 8'10" reach.. He can move his feet and has strong quick hands. Who do you think is the best perimeter defender? I'll add his name instead.
@ButlerBulldogs
That would have to be federally illegal!! lol
Man he would tear up the NBA and probably win about 3-5 defensive player of the year.. He's got probably the quickest/strongest hands in the NBA and he knows how to move his feet and cut you off at an angle. (In his prime)
Reggie Miller...small frame, but Eh.
MJ of course, the GOAT.
Maybe Magic? Size helps him, might be able to get in the paint & do something against those bigs.
Tough Choice when Hakeem is down there.
Honestly, I'd take a healthy T-Mac.. I know, it'll have many scratching their heads. haha.
Reggie was definitely clutch.
I'll never forget that shot Reggie made vs Jordan in the Eastern Conference Finals lol. He pushed off, but that was still an amazing shot. I remember everybody in my house just started jumping up and yelling lol.
The only thing about Reggie though is he doesn't have the ball handling ability and shot creating ability to get his shot off vs great on ball defense. If it's catch and shoot though... I'd let him take that shot.
Michael Jordan definately for the last shot.
If its active players I'd go with Melo.
If its a 3 pointer only for active guys might have to take Pierce he already bested Kobe in the Finals he's definately clutch.
Knowing Howard he will probably goaltend the shot anyway put Hakeem or Dikembe down there.
Also Artest is not a great perimeter defender anymore he's lost a step thats old news ask the Rockets players he played with.
That defensive player of the year was in 04 or 05.
Look at his games against Lebron this year basically Lebron didn't change his game and just dominated him like he was any other defender. I'd rather have Kobe on defense than Artest rite now esp. against premier perimeter guys. Just because you can body up guys that won't prevent guys from driving past you. Bruce Bowen was a slender guy but he was a great defender.
Is there really any question that it would be Jordan? His career is based on ripping peoples hearts out in the closing seconds of games. After MJ it would have to be Kobe, who had like 6 game winners this year alone. But no one tops MJ. If you need a big taking the last shot, as much as I don't like him I'd go with Kareem. Automatic 2 points with the sky hook.
If you had... 1 shot.... 1 opportunity, 1 moment, to seize everything to ever wanted... Who would you have shoot the shot? Game 7 of the NBA Championship and you're away. Whoever you choose, you have LeBron James guarding you and Dwight/Hakeem downlow.
Who shoots the shot?
