Von Wafer

What happened to this kid? Last I heard he was on a 10day contract with the Mavs but didn't get playing time.. How is a guy who averaged nearly 10ppg in only 16mpg on a solid 2nd round playoff (and nearly a conference title contender) not get on a team? He doesn't have any problems outside of basketball and his IQ seems to be the same as J.R. Smith.

How is it that he doesn't find a place on any team? I'm sure any team would love a guy that you can give him 10-20 minutes and he'll give you 10-15 points while shooting about 45% from the field and 40% from behind the arc and 75% from the charity stripe.

yea.. i dunno but dallas has so many guards that

dallas has alot of scoring guards, they got butler, terry, beaubois and they even put barea there, so i dont know u gonna put wafer there, though almost any other team can use him, man if the cavs, lakers, celtics or orlando had him, that may push them to be the favorites, if he can play the way he did in houston.

Yeah I agree.. People have

Yeah I agree.. People have forgot about this kid. He's only what? 24? 25? He's got a ways to go before he's a solid starter, but a spark like this off the bench helps anybody.. Except the Mavericks as you pointed out. lol

Von Wafer is known to have a

Von Wafer is known to have a bad attitude too. He thinks he's better than he actually is, he NEVER passes the ball, and he doesn't defend at all. I like Wafer and I think he's a really nice scorer, but he hasn't stuck anywhere despite his offensive talent because of the things mentioned.

Thanks @JNixon-Iggy9 I

Thanks @JNixon-Iggy9

I wasn't aware that he had attitude problems and I know he doesn't pass the ball much. That's pretty much the reason I said his IQ is about the same as J.R. Smith. LOL. If you put him on a team like the Lakers, who need some offense off the bench aside from Lamar Odom. I'd say that team would be unstoppable, if any coach can teach this kid how to ball the right way, it's Phil Jackson.

It's ironic that you say

It's ironic that you say that, because Wafer was drafted by the Lakers out of Florida State lol.

I saw him with Rockets,

I saw him with Rockets, really just the injury scared teams away. Rockets had him, but the Injury had him failt he physical...same with the Griz before the Rockets. It sucks, I like Wafer & I love his MoHawk, if he ever comes back...I'll be rocking it again
Houston Loves Him & He was pretty awesome here too, I still remember how he earned his spot on the team during the last preseason game...I believe he hit 6 threes.

I dont see why a Team

I dont see why a Team wouldnt sign him,
He's a perfect Off the Bench Player
He just Goes there in the game and Brings Energy to the Team
And Scores alot of points, He wont bee starter unless he plays defense,
But a team that needs a good quick scoring of the Bench Could really Use him

What Iggy said is why he's

What Iggy said is why he's not in the league, his attitude. Not playing defense is really no big deal b/c he's a bench player, but if you an attitude to go with it, you'll be out of the league fast unless you're a superstar. Wafer isn't worth the headache.
