Brandon Roy not only active... He'll start

The reports are Brandon Roy was activated for tonight's game and will start. He had surgery on his torn meniscus not even two weeks ago. That's one fast ass comeback. Why didn't he just have the surgery right away? He'd have been able to play the first game. I think he's rushing back.

Is this a good or bad idea?

BAD IDEA, no way he

BAD IDEA, no way he completely recovered so quickly, I respect him for trying to fight for his team...but if he re-inures it, the consequences can be more long term...

Hes much better of starting his offseason to rest & recover

He signed a big deal for

He signed a big deal for Portland already, so depending on how you look at it it could go either way. We'll see how he does to know if it is a good or bad idea.

He will NOT start. At first

He will NOT start. At first they said he would, but the official word is he'll come off the bench. I can't see him playing more than 25 minutes.

I don't see portland doing

I don't see portland doing much in the playoffs, or even winning this series with a so called "healthy" brandon roy. He is making a big mistake might just re-injury and this might be career ending. I say he should just chill, but i can see where he coming from when he wants to play. he trying 2 do everything for his team

The reports are that the

The reports are that the slight/minor tear were even more sligh/minor than they thought. There was supposedly just minor fraying of the mensicus. They just cleaned that up. The rest is about the strength of the muscles around the knee and if he can play with a little pain. I'm sure he's been getting pain shots.

My brother played with this

My brother played with this exact same injury this past season and he's a football player (a cornerback). He had to treat it everyday and he risked tearing it real bad, but he had surgery after the season and had to take like 10 snaps off every game. If Roy doesn't have surgery after the season, and/or the Blazers lose this series, playing with the injury is a bad decision. Especially in the long run. He wasn't quite as athletic and agile yesterday, and he looked like an 80 year old man walking to the scorers table lol.
