For a team that has a 91 million dollar payroll, their bench plus Fisher truly are struggling. Lakers really do need a point guard that can defend and shoot threes. Fisher has lost his touch for the 2 things that he use to do well.

we would like another point

we would like another point guard but we dont need another one. this isnt new. fisher has been getting killed for years not sure why some think this is something new. with the triangle offense you dont need a traditional pg anyway. as far as kobe and paul being the only scores , umm yeah they are the top 2 scorers just like other teams and there top 2 scorers and everyone else sare 3rd options and beyond. what hurts us the most is fisher not hitting threes consistantly( other then last night) but im still not worried because we will still get to the finals . no one said it would be easy though

well....

lets just hope the upcoming draft would provide the lakers with some options for either sg and pg...something they desperately need for scoring depth and defense...kinda want avery bradley just so he could stay in front westbrook..

the triangle offense makes

the triangle offense makes it so u dont need a really good pg they just need someone who can stay with westbrook and if im the thunder im making R.W our #1 option for the rest of the series until the lakers make the adjustment

Free Willie

How ironic we could draft a kid that is going to Oklahoma. If Warren is available we will go after him without a doubt .

yeah we might have a chance

yeah we might have a chance to get him. ive been critical on bledsoe anbd rightfully so, he hasnt shown he can plaay the point in the time that he played it and either has the worst ast to turnover ratio or is 2nd or third in college basketball, cant remember which, but he does have toughness, can hit the open three, athletic, quick, strong and wouldnt need to be a traditional pg to to play in the triangle offense. he would be a nice backup or even third string in his first year while he learns. we will get a pretty good pg( if we pick one) in this years draft...either bledsoe, warren, collins will be avaliable for us. or my favorite vasquez.

as far as fisher, i know his defense is bad but why is it that people go crazy over the pg that give it to him when these same pg give it to everyone else?..westbrook has been a beast all year?..last year brooks gave it to him and look what hes done this year. i think we get a lil carried away( i say we because i yell at the tv as westbrook gets scored on again and again) but its not like hes checking average point guards. we would love for him to play better or have abettert pg but lets not get it confused with need. we can win a title with fisher at the point, if we couldnt then id say we NEED another pg instead of him. i would like to see brown given a chance to play fishers minutes at the point and see how he does against westbrook though but phil is stuck in his ways and i cant fully blame him because even with fisher playing how he has we still wont the title last year and we are still the number one seed int he west and the favorites

I agree Shanwow needs more minutes

Shannon should be getting more minutes and it was ridiculous that Phil was playing Farmar down the stretch over Brown. Farmar for 7 mins in the 4th last night? I can't wait until we draft someone that is already better than Farmar. Bye bye Farmar and Morrison.

yeah i love phil as a coach

yeah i love phil as a coach but sometimes i wonder about his substitutions when it comes to the pg position. to be honest i would love to see him start farmar or brown and have either or be the second string and have fisher be the third just to see how it works. people get on farmar but they dont think about how lil time he gets and how hes not able to play through his mistakes like fisher is. the more you play through youre mistakes the more confident you get and he has the talent

Farmar?

Im sorry but Farmar is just not that good, he gets beat off the dribble time after time, and his jumper has been inconsistent at best. The guy has a 42 inch vert but he never uses it to is advantage.

The only reason Phil keeps

The only reason Phil keeps Fisher is for leadership, he understands Kobe, and knows how to run the triangle. I do think that the Lakers having 2 2nd round picks are fortunate enough that they can draft a PG in this very deep draft, or trade both 2nd round picks to get a 1st to draft whoever they want. I am not worried about what the Lakers end up doing, I know they will make the right choice when it is all said and done.

yeah but when has farmar

yeah but when has farmar been given a chance to play through his mistakes?..how many guys dont look like starters but show flashes of being a starter but we never know if they can be because the coach doesnt give them a chance to play through there mistakes then they go to another team get the minutes, play through there mistakes and become very good?...its just like the player that transfer from one college to another and becomes all conference or all american. its different if he was able to start for a season like a duhon and didnt show that he can be a starting pg. i like brown but hes shown just as many mistakes as farmar on offense and defense but people ignore it because of the flash and dunks and they are used to picking on farmar. alot of people said ariza and brown werent starters as well untill them came here from another team and i think other teams see the same thing in farmar which is why teams where tryna get him the past couple of years. i dont think the triangle is the best system for him though. its not a system for every pg

Shannon Brown should be the

Shannon Brown should be the starter soon. I hope at least. He has all the tendencies of Fisher and Farmar rolled into one, especially when Fisher was younger and more capable of defending quick players. Fisher doesn't really effect the Lakers in wins and losses most times, but I think when Shannon Brown has defended Westbrook he has EASILY done the best job of the 3. I said this last summer, Shannon Brown is the best PG fit for starting PG on the Lakers current roster.

Lakers have been needing a

Lakers have been needing a point guard for a while even though they really dont need one in the triangle as much. I think they should play Shannon Brown at that spot more often but the thing is Lakers lost because Kobe shot terrible and the bench was non existent. Also Artest needs to knock down a few more open 3's like ariza did but his defense is great though

The Lakers should have

The Lakers should have traded for Kirk Hinrich as rumors were saying they would. If they got Kirk Hinrich, they would be getting a combo-guard that can play PG and SG and can shoot and defend. By getting Hinrich, they would solve all their problems.

i agree. kobes shot

i agree. kobes shot selection hurt us. it wasnt the reason we lost just like aretest wasnt the reason. its ONE of the reasons. theres never one reason why a team loses just a couple. the biggest being kobes shot selection sometimes. sometimes he needs to drive to the basket( i dont know if his legs were hurting or not) and if they were then draw the defense to him and pass it because he gets so much attention. i agree with what barkley said awhile back and thats "the lakers need to go inside more" go inside out because they cant handle our size. yeah they will block a couple of shots but if you go in and bang early there legs will be more tired in the fourth and they wont be blocking all those shots. artest is hitting enough shots where its not a problem especially since his defense has been very good which is the main reason we got him. another thing is lamar kardashian needs to step up. im not too mad though because okc isnt the best match up for him in my opion because green can work with him on the outside and inside

Yea I think the Lakers

Yea I think the Lakers should establish Bynum and Gasol more. But particularly Bynum, as long as he stays awake and out of foul trouble. He always get the 1st 2 post feeds to start the game off, and he damn near always makes a beautiful move and finishes. Then they abandon him for minutes at a time. The Lakers have size unlike any other team, so they should be less perimeter oriented than they are.

exactly..he makes more good

exactly..he makes more good plays then bad when he gets it. i wish they would force feed him more because he has such a mismatch. i love kobe but he sometimes gets it in his head that he has to take over the game all the time and sometimes that wins us games but it makes it harder for us to win because the other players cant turn it on and off like he can. this is where i wish he would take a page from lebron and look for his teammates more and trust them more

Yea Kobe has been losing

Yea Kobe has been losing some scoring ability, I think that finger injury is getting to him now. And he's been selfish about it by not passing the ball enough.

yeah his shooting is

yeah his shooting is obviously effected by it but even with that hes still a big threat. the biggest problem is his decision making. im sure hes watching game footage now and figureing that out. although i wanted to sweep the thunder i pretty much figured we would lose 1 or 2 at the most

Kobe

WE need kobe to stop chucking shots and play some REAL defense for once on someone like westbrook. i hate it when kobe is roaming around not playing his man and than we get burned by wide open 3's.

I would understand him trying to take it easy on defense if he is actually producing on offense but he HASNT been efficient since end of febuary.
