I DONT UNDERSTAND!!!

Why these potentially good Freshman players are leaving this year to enter the draft when they are projected 2nd rounders.

Examples: Renardo Sidney, Lance Stephenson, Tiny Gallon, Tommy Mason Griffin and Daniel Orton.

Dont these players have some sort of idea that if they stay another year in school they can be possible high first rounders. I see this every year with some freshman players.

Is it money reasons, hating school, or just bad judgement? (maybe all 3)

I dont even think renardo sidney played one college game because of ineligibility.

yea i think the same way to.

yea i think the same way to. orton has basically only good potential as of now. sidney hasnt.... i wont even bother on him. gallon is a dumbass, and stephenson is not nba ready. they can be stars on the college game a whole lot faster rite now, then if they went to the nba. and sidney may not even get drafted or gallon

money reasons, hating school, or just bad judgement...all of that

Sidney couldn't even get eligable, Stephenson would have never went to college if it wasn't for b-ball and none of the upper tier schools even wanted him bec. of his academics, orton is making a smart decison. Orton sat on the bench all season and he is projected to go mid first round...

im guessing hating school

im guessing hating school and money have a lot to do with it. Some of these guys figure that riding an nba pine or making money in the dleague is a better option then sitting inclass and playing for free. Of course they should consider the possibility of improving their stock by returning and getting that gauranteed 1st round money, but i guess they want to jump right away before their flaws get even more exposed.

I would've loved for Lance

I would've loved for Lance Stephenson to return. He would've had a role very similar to the one Tyreke Evans had as a freshman at Memphis had he stayed. Instead, we had to watch him play off the ball for long stretches of games(not his strong suit, while playing alongside Deonta Vaughn, who played poorly and didn't know whether he was a PG or SG. Stephenson will be a very good player in the NBA in the future, but had he returned for his 2nd year he would've alleviated all doubts that he could be.

Sidney is taking a gamble, but a team will fall in love with his talent and pick him in the late 1st. I feel confident saying that, even though he should come back. Maybe his parents wanted to be able to pay back what the court ordered them to pay after being found to have accepted money, or maybe he's just being greedy. Similar to Stephenson, he said he wasn't declaring then changed his mind.

Tiny Gallon was kicked out the door proverbially by OU, and should try to go to the NBDL instead of declaring.

Daniel Orton should've produced before he declared. 3 points and 3 rebounds are not gonna cut it. Especially if you play aexactly like Kwame Brown

Not making it
Personally, being a college student, I really don't think NOT making the NBA ever is a big deal for these kids. Some people just plain don't like school. If they are finding school difficult, why the Hell wouldn't they leave and play overseas? They'll make, at minimum, a nice comfortable living while playing the sport they love

You guys you're missing the

You guys you're missing the lockout part. A lot of these freshman would not enter if they were not scared of the possibility of the lockout and lose money they could gain this year.

i honestly dont think the

i honestly dont think the potential of a lockout is why these kids are coming out. No one has any problem with the current rookie contract system and i really doubt there will be a lockout anyways. And even if they come out this year and there is a lockout, they still wont be getting paid during the lockout regardless.

They would not be getting

They would not be getting paid, but they will already have been paid 1 year's salary to take care of some things that they could not take care of if they were still in college.

i just doubt thats on their

i just doubt thats on their mind because at worst the lockout would probably be for a few months or one season. I just dont see guys making such a huge dission based on smoething that most likely wont happen.

Agents are in there ears,

Agents are in there ears, idk, idk. I just think this lockout has had guys enter early, especially the freshman. Idk, I am not thinking much of it, I think the one and done is becoming more popular.
