what small school center outplayed foote and faried?
the answer is tyler cain in this case WHO? university of south dakota
against faried he had 17,15 and 4 blocks
faried that game had 14,14 and 2
against foote of cornell he had 12, 9 and 2 blocks
whereas foote had 4, 12 and 1
against texas tech he had 11,9 and 2 blocks
he had 19 against marquette
12 and 9 against wyoming
against kansas state he had 18, 10 3 steals and 5 blocks
and against creighton he had 12, 9 and 7 blocks
my question here is if both foote and faired are seen as possible nba draft picks
why isnt cain?
Foote is consider a NBA prospect? I would not sign him.
I would take keith benson before them.
What do you guys think about Jordan Eslinger of NIU? He is slow footed, but is a legit 7 footer who can stretch the floor with his 3 point range. I'm not sure if anyone will draft him, but I think he could be a FA because of his outside shot. He also led the Portsmouth tournament with 10 rpg and held is own against Cole Aldrich.
Art Parakhouski....maybe more of a PF though...
Cain is listed at 6'8 at a small D1 school, so if someone was to measure him he is probably smaller than that. He has minimal range and limited experience in the Great West Conference. I think he'll probably get some workouts and catch on with a summer league team, probably Minnesota as it will be similar to them giving Ben Woodside a look last summer.
You cannot compare him to a guy like Foote who is massive, measured in at 7-foot in his socks at Portsmouth. A guy that big who can get up and down the floor without his body breaking and with decent skills is going to get a look. Faried, on the other hand, isn't really much of a prospect. His caught an eye a year ago because he was a sophomore. He did not really make the kind of leap he needed to in order to go from on the radar to real prospect. My guess is that while he is going through the process, he'll go back to Morehead St with the advice to learn how to shoot and get in the weight room.
he played tough against Cole this year....he didn't have a good shooting night but he bodied up nice....
