4th Quarter Blazers Suns
This was a very entertaining quarter. Miller and Bayless went hard scoring the majority of the points. They had the lead but it was like they didnt want to finsh it, First the offensive foul on Lamarcus and then the 7footer Camby missing an open two handed dunk. The Blazers ended up pulling out the W but it was alot closer then it had to be. Does any one else think the blazers have the edge in this series. Miller can abuse any guard they put on him and as long as bayless plays somewhere along like this i dont think the suns have a shot.
Wow, the Blazers took game 1 from the Suns on the road. Did not think the blazers had it in them without Roy, and the Suns being red hot as of late.
Does anyone see the Blazers winning the series and making the Second Round?
i wonder if Camby miss dunk have to do with his sprain ankle? Probably not. The game kinda remind like the game with LA last week.
I think they definitly have a chance even without Roy.The Houston Rockets got to game 7 of the 2nd round last year without Tmac and more importantly Yao...This Blazer team does have a lot of talent still and the Suns are a streaky team who dont like to play alot of defense. Andre Miller is one of the most underrated players in the NBA...the guy has been a stud for a long time, and has brought a winning mentality everywhere (except when he was in cleveland, cuz that team didnt have a prayer)
Aldridge needs to stop shooting fade aways and be a man
Fernandez and Bayless need to bring it offensively and play under control
Batum needs to keep staying assertive and play good D
Miller needs to control tempo
If they can do those things for 4 games...they have a legit chance.
I'm not surprised Portland won this game due to the way they defend and control the tempo. Roy is no doubt the closer, but Miller isn't bad in that role.
Camby shouldn't have missed that dunk regardless, but his right foot did look a little funny when he took off. It look like it planted funny and he didn't get as much lift. I'm not even sure if that's the ankle he sprained. I did notice that though.
I am not surprised Portland won either, I want to see them win, and hopefully see Roy return.
Tezo, I am doing a live mock draft with people on this board in a week. The Pacers spot is open, would you like to join?? If you could email me b/c we're doing trades and what not before the draft and then doing the mock like next saturday. If not it's fine.
i have the blazers and spurs match up in 2nd round for my predictions
Yea, I'll join. Sign me up with the Pacers.
you got it tezo, can you send me an email so I have it because I am going to send out a mass email to everyone in it. I want this to be as realistic as possible. I appreciate you joining. Now I have the two best minds on this site in it you and iggy.
No problem! I'll send you an e-mail in a sec.
When will the actual order of the lottery be decided?
Well we had a huge thread tonight with a lottery, but I am thinking of redoing it.
I planned on doing a mock, but I was going to wait until the w/d deadline past and the actual order of the lottery was decided. That way I can actually sit down and look at who's in to stay, where teams are drafting and their team needs.
What I think I may end up doing is this. Wait for the whole pool to be set, and do the draft on May 8th, but the lottery I am going to do once I have everyone. How does that sound, tezo??
That sounds good. That way we know exactly who's available. I'm on board.
Though, I don't think for the Pacers sake in the 1st round who stays and goes back to school will matter much for there 1st, but definitely for there 2nd.
Yeah, just send me an email so I have you on the contact list for everyone else. Because the lottery will be done soon, and then people can contact others to do trades.
I was at the game....not the greatest seats but still was able to see that the Suns are garbage.....I tivo'd the Charles Barkley and Chris Webber show and they were all talking about how impressed they were with the Blazers....I was more DEPRESSED with the Suns.....the phrase "they had every chance to win" is kind of overused but it was so true in this game.....it kind of reminded me of the Memphis/Kansas national title team except instead of being ice cold like Kansas was, the Suns were broker than my 11 year old niece.....
I was like everyone else at first thinking that Portland didn't have a chance in hell without Roy, but after watching the game I realized that it is still an awful matchup for Phoenix.....the genious of Kev Pritchard is going to be seen in this series where the fact that the Blazers are the deepest team in the NBA will be seen in full force.....Paul Allen, kill yourself if you fire him....
Blazers are a tough match for the Suns, i was saying the Suns should have tanked the Jazz game to avoid the Blazers. They have been killing the nuggets all year and just blew them out by 20.
I live in Phoenix and Suns fans are almost as gay as it comes....right behind cubs and twins fans....they are sooooooooooooooo freakin clueless.....
The older guys can't dunk as easily, u see Kobe he didn't get up high at all on 1 dunk.
Looks like a Cavs and Mavs Finals to me.
Knicksfan what team can i have? the wizards again?
Whoa Midwest guy...watch it with the Twins fan remarks.
