ekpe udoh declared for draft
but didnt hire an agent
Hes good, he is long and has good timing to go along with a ok high post game.
I love Udoh as a prospect. I am praying he gets picked by my Twolves...Though it wouldnt fit well because he's got talent. I didnt see alot of his games at Baylor, but they were on TV a few times and I saw most of their tourney games. In that time I noticed that his offensive game has improved leaps and bounds from what it was at Michigan...Thats promising to me.
I'm gonna get picked apart for this, but his game reminded me of Pau Gasol's. He works the high post really well, weather its shooting off the catch, handling the ball and getting to the rim, or distributing to guys in scoring spots.
His game looks really solid on the offensive end...and he actually shows upside with it, while other guys *couch *cough, Daniel Orton, Hassan Whiteside, and Ed Davis just have size and athleticism. Udoh has size, and defined skill.
Defensivly, he is a shot blocking machine which doesnt mean much in college translation to the NBA, but I think with his length and athleticism, he'll be a solid weakside defender as well as athletic enough to play with the new NBA 4s.
I like Udoh a ton...I think he's gonna be a really nice player in the league. I feel like he's ready to step in and contribute but also has legit upside.
Fire away point stealers...speak your displeasure!!
I've watched him all season. I like Baylor and I liked Udoh. I remember him from when he played at Michigan, and trust me, he has gotten TONS better since then. He was a shot-blocker who just was a jump shooter at Michigan, but now he has nice footwork, a dribble drive face-up game, and he can make some plays with his back to the basket. While most only saw him for the 1st time against Duke, I watched him mostly in the conference slate and he's a big-time player. I think he can be a LaMarcus Aldridge with shot-blocking ability at best, and a more versatile Emeka Okafor at worst.
Well Udoh definitly isnt stealing our points but soebody is...they are cowards and just want to take points away without even presenting an argument.
I think Udoh is gonna be a really nice player. I like the Emeka Okafor comparison for defensive purposes. I think he is better offensively, or at least more versatile. I also though Aldrige would be a good comparison, but Udoh looks like he has better ball handling and can create better...I havent seen a ton of Lamarcus Aldrige but when I do, he is usually scoring off pick and pop or transiton...I like the compariosons though
