Bulls V.P. Paxson grabs coach Del Negro by his Tie!!!!!

Yahoo Sports is reporting G.M John Paxson & coach Vinny Del Negro got into a post game argument ..After a March 30 lost to Phoenix..According the eye witnesses Paxson walked angrily into the coach's office at the United Center Paxson to confront the coach..Over a narrow breach of management imposed minutes for injured center Joakim Noah..Sources say Paxson grabbed Del Negro by his tie and pushed the Bulls coach twice in the chest before he had to be pulled away..Paxson was heard challenging the coach to a fight..Witnesses say the coach didn't retaliate over fear of having his contract voided without pay or hurt other coaching chances..Because of Noah's foot, Bull's management & team doctors had set mandatory progressive minutes for the center for the rest of the season..Paxson & Gar Farman were upset Feb.26 game against Portland when Noah played 27 minutes..Then again in a lost to the Nets....The Bulls are fighting for the 8th seed in the Playoffs..Del Negro is in a No-Win situation, job security has been in question all season....He knows his time is coming to an end with the Bulls..

Come on this is crazy...but

Come on this is crazy...but on another note, isDel Negro really that bad a coach? Sure he has made some questionable decisions but they are a .500 ball club and a playoff team in a year when Noah was injured, Salmons was traded and Rose was injured...the record is pretty on par with the talent

crazy. You never put your

crazy. You never put your hands on another man unless you want to fight, and i dont see any reason a business issue should result in a fight. But if del negro flat out broke doctor and team orders, then he was wrong in that regard big time.

Maybe Paxton learned that

Maybe Paxton learned that kind of fire from playing with MJ. I remember reading an article about Jordan decking Steve Kerr in the face during a practice. As a Bulls fan, this makes me sad, they can't seem to find a coach that can do better than a .500 record and a 7th or 8th seed in the playoffs.

Vinny had done a good job

Vinny had done a good job considering what all he has on his team and the situations. I just think you had people that are overemotional about high expectations because if not for Toronto's slipping up Bulls would not be in the playoffs.

not me....

I don't have high expectations.....he doesn't get the most out of his players....John Salmons goes an hour north and is an all-star all of the sudden....

he also makes horrible in game decisions....from a record breaking blown lead to multiple times having to go full court in like a second with no play drawn up because he thinks timeouts grow on trees apparently....and he doesn't have the respect of his players, you can just tell by watching them....and apparently he doesn't have the support of the front office either....which all I can say is thank god for that....or its about time....he should have been fired before the all-star break....if he was to stay on it would cost them in free agency.....THAT CANNOT HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't the report

Doesn't it say that the fight started over a "slight" overplaying of Noah? I get that they want to rest him and let him recover, but if he's playing good, the team needs him and he feels good I wouldn't hesitate to send him in for an extra minute or two and I wouldn't expect a guy who's done more wrong things then good things to come and try to pick a fight with me.

Jeez, if this is true Paxson

Jeez, if this is true Paxson needs to take a look in the mirror. He hasn't exactly assembled a brilliant squad for Del Negro to work with, so who can blame the guy if he plays Noah just a couple of minutes over the agreed limit. Is that really enough provocation to nearly start a fight? It doesn't look like a healthy situation for the Bulls heading in to the Playoffs.

playing the Cavs

that's what isn't healthy for the Bulls heading into the playoffs.....the talk of how horrible it was getting rid of Salmons has to stop too......he was shooting like 30% wearing red...makes me miss Scotty Skiles that's for sure....

Paxson should be in trouble

I dont like DelNegro but it was reported that he didnt retalitate because he didnt want his contract voided then why wouldnt paxson not get in trouble for shoving him and grabbing his tie and provoking the whole incident. Like someone said paxson put this team together I am very surprised that they are even in the running for the playoffs after all of the changes that the bulls made during the season none of which helped them to get better. I know delnego is a terrible coach but paxson is just as bad a GM and he should be looking at himself also for the way the season has gone.
