a few guys you can take off

a few guys you can take off that list are

manu-already signed an extension with spurs
redd-no way he backs out of 20 million next year
stuckey-team will exercise their option for sure, he's their best player
chandler-another guy who would lose a ton if he backed out of his last year

also, i dont see any way dirk, pierce or ming leave their teams to become free agents.

Yeah thats true about Pierce

Yeah thats true about Pierce bcuz he already has ring...

But if you ask Dirk or Yao to come play with Lebron a its possibility bcuz he's a guy at this stage of his career makes you instant contender with the right pieces

just a scenario

This is one of the highest ranked draft classes in years and the knicks do not have a first round pick. Why dont they try this:
If the nets get the first overall pick, we make a sign and trade for that pick, it is a known fact that the nets and david lee are interested in each other and the nets have an all star PG in devin harris. so the knicks sign david lee, trade him to the nets along with future picks and the knicks get john wall which will also attract many free agents this summer. IS that really that crazy of a thought?

Nets has the second lowest

Nets has the second lowest cap in the league so they can always go after Amare,Bosh or Boozer. Instead of losing John wall a player that has way too much upside.

IMO, Mike D needs to make a

IMO, Mike D needs to make a huge play on Lamar Odom. To me, he needs to offer anything he can for Odom. Odom isnt a FA but maybe they can sign someone and trade them for Odom. He is a perfect fit with them. I would hope, if i were a Knicks fan, that they could get Chandler.

I dont know what to think about this team. IMO, it would be better to sign 5 above average players and 1 superstar rather than 2 superstars. Maybe CB4, and 4 other above average players..

maxludwig-the nets are way

maxludwig-the nets are way under the cap. They could sign lee outright and not have to give up their draft pick.

ok so if it isnt wall its turner, there is no garantee the knicks will get anyone in this free agent class so why not go after someone great in the draft. there r alot fo frnachise players this yr and 2 future picks and david lee could get you a top 5 pick dont you think?

llperez-david lee would prefer new york over any other team, so other teams dont have as high of a chance at david lee like we do

The Knicks will get someone

The Knicks will get someone this summer they have enough cash to offer 2 MAX contracts and not many players will turn that down

max, what does that have to

max, what does that have to do with the nets trading for him when they could just sign him? If the nets want him, they can offer him more then the knicks. If the knicks keep him, then they can go after boozer, amare, bosh or anyone they want. No way they give up a top 5 pick when they can simply offer a little more money then the knicks or just get another all-star player.

it doesnt have to be the

it doesnt have to be the nets, it could b anyone with a top 5 pick, just because we have the money, doesnt mean we will get anyone. no one wants to come to the knicks when chris duhon or sergio rodriguez r there top PGs

No way im giving up John

No way im giving up John Wall for All-star in David Lee, when I can go get a Superstar player and not have to give up nothing but a contract.

i think if a team really

i think if a team really wanted to get lee, they would just offer more money then the knicks. Paying an extra 1-2 million a year sounds a lot better then giving up a top 5 pick. The knicks dug their own hole when they gave away all their picks and still conitnue to do so. Honestly I hope their summer sucks and they end up with maybe just one all-star and they lose lee and the jazz get the number 1 pick and jordan hill turns into the next star for the rockets. The knicks have been running their franchise like chumps for a decade now.

Okay i see what you saying,

Okay i see what you saying, but im sure its goin to be more wheeling and dealing if the Knicks sign a great player. Its descent guards in Free agency like Raymond Felton, J.J. Barea (T)( Not Likely), T.J. Ford, Rafer Alston, Jason Williams, Jamaal Tinsley and Shannon Brown

T-Mac even said he'll take a big pay cut to play with a Superstar type player or 2 so who knows

Jazz won't get the top pick

They have a 1.7% chance of getting the top pick rite now, 2% at #2 and 2.4% shot at 3rd pick.
Walsh is creative he'll probably get a big name free agent and resign Lee unless some team wants to throw 14 mill a year at Lee which is doubtful.
Knicks have a bright future Gallo, Chandler look good, Walker & Douglas have good energy off the bench and should get better. Main thing is to get a shotblocker, the PG is easier to find via trade either for a young player or Eddy Curry's expiring contract.
Can't do anything about 2010 draft pick traded that was Isiah's stupidity.
They still have a 2011 pick and if Yao get hurt again the Rockets pick will be a lot better than most think
The 2012 pick is top 5 protected so if they were to fall off and be one of the worst teams in the league which is doubtful they might have their pick still.
I only see the team improving so unless the 2011,2012 drafts are very deep it shouldn't come back to really hurt them too much.

if the knicks get raymond

if the knicks get raymond felton it would attract many free agents bc he is one of the most underrated Pgs in this league

Call me a Fool

Call me a fool and unrealistic but

NY is hoping alot of these underclassmen stay in the draft. With 2 2nd round picks ( and the opp to buy a late 1st rounder) The Knicks could get a lot of pickings. I would love NY to add Demetri McCamey to potentially becoming the PG for this team.

People have to remember- D'Antoni runs a 8-9 man roatation. That gives us more money to play with seeing those last 3-4 spots are fillers. I believe NY will end up with Chris Bosh and Rudy Gay. Doing this means Wilson Chandler will either be the main 6th man or traded to get a 1st round pick in the 2011 or 2012 draft.

Livingston is being looked

Livingston is being looked at by the Knicks and to me that is not that bad cept Livingston cant guard anybody right now but he would be a playmaker though.

HEAT!!!

Miami cap next year isnt looking to bad either....

So what if they pick up Wade's option? ( Which keeps them under 25M)(Cap limit 57.7M)

Sign Bosh and Gay

Feel needs in the draft (Backup SG)

Then pick up other needs with their mid-level exception(Felton)

Starting 5
G Raymond Felton
G Dwyane Wade
F Rudy Gay
F Micheal Beasley
C Chris Bosh

Lol....you hold on to that

Lol....you hold on to that dream Daprob. Couple issue with that.

Miami needs Wade to opt out to be able to sign 2 max free agents from what I saw. Gay is getting overpaid this year, No way you sign 3 potential max free agents. Felton will get at least 7-10 mil this offseason.

Hold on to that dream?

You should take your own advice. Even with 2 superstars that Knicks team will struggle to be a contender and most of the stars know it. Lebron won't leave what has been turned into a powerhouse in Cleveland for that. Dwayne won't leave Miami either, with the ability to bring in more help. NY might get Bosh, assuming recent reports about Toronto not thinking he's a max player anymore are true, but even then if Bosh is your headliner you're in trouble.

But I found it funny anyone would even debate the Knicks could get a top 5 pick. They just don't have the assets and haven't ever since they decided to go all in on 2010. I will say they could get a nice player or two later on, maybe an Armon Johnson or Sylven Landesburg type of guy, but the draft won't be where the Knicks pick up their talent.

LOL.....I never said NY gets

LOL.....I never said NY gets two stars. Rudy Gay isin't a star. Chris Bosh is the main guy for NY. Even if you read my NY plan- I'm more interested in the draft then the FA because having a good draft is key for NY.

Miami cannot bring in that roster he stated....I'm sorry.

Knicksboy35

In summer of 2010 the Miami Heat have under 25M salary cap if Dwade decide to stay if he leaves its low then that...

Micheal Beasley and Daequan Cook are the only two guarantee contracts next year (maybe you read it wrong)

Heat can offer Bosh 15.5-18M(Next year salary)(As long as its under the current cap year its good)

Heat can offer Gay 11-13.5M(Next year salary)

Still under cap at this point!!!

Sign 1st round draft pick....

Sign min free agents( 3pt specialist, Rebounder, Energy guys,Defensive specialist and etc.)

Cap may be slim at this point but heres where the mid-level exception comes in handy( 5-8M)(Real Life not 2k)

Sign Raymond Felton

ah, my mistake

Sorry, I guess I just kind of mixed your comments with some of the worse ones. I went back and reread yours, btw. While I agree they could pick up some nice players with those 2nd rounders, if that's what they rely on this summer will have been a failure. And I wouldn't be so quick to assume they could just buy a pick. The last 5 picks are owned by teams that look like they'd want their picks.
