OKC vs LAL
LAL wins 3-1 during regular season.
Can they make it that easy and win in game 4 or 5?
I don't think so.. Bryant usually harassed when he plays the Thunder..
Yeah he averages 27ppg but he shoots over 20 shots a game.. We all know that when Kobe shoots over 21 shots in a game, the Lakers usually lose. And that's been a stat that haunts Kobe year after year. Now another stat you should look at, Kobe averages 5 turnovers and 4 fouls a game vs the Thunder. 5 turnovers is alot and he obviously struggles and gets frustrated against the Thunder.
23-16 when Kobe shoots over 21 shots.
33-8 when he shoots under 21 shots.
Maybe a game 6 win by the Lakers
"Bryant usually harassed when he plays the Thunder?" This year, 27 PPG on 46 percent shooting, 5 assists and 6 rebounds per. Last year, just under 30 per on nearly 50 percent shooting. Over the past two years, LA is 6-1 against OKC. The Thunder will have what answer for the Laker parade to the post, and the series will be over quickly.
If Bynum is back it's a 5 game series. OKC has no body to cover Gasol and Bynum.
Have you guys watched him play against OKC? I'm from Southern California so they show every Laker game.. I've watched every game they played vs OKC and I've seen him harassed. FIVE turnovers a game.. Do you know how ridiculous that is? 5 turnovers means he's not comfortable.
take points be a loser but they're rite none the less kobe does get harrassed i dont think the thunder will beat the lakers but they should do better then everybody thinks
"Do you know how ridiculous that is? 5 turnovers means he's not comfortable."
For a guy who turns it over more than 3 per game for the season in a sample size of 4 and one game where he had 9. Yeah, ridiculous. And that stat where the Lakers lose the more Kobe shoots is misleading. Kobe shoots more when his teammates aren't playing well. That stat basically says when Pau, Lamar, Ron, Bynum, and Derek stink, the Lakers aren't any good.
A series with OKC won't give LA problems. Pau to the block, then Bynum, then Kobe, then Lamar, then Kobe, then Pau. It really is not going to be a difficult game plan to predict. There are no extended road trips or back-to-backs in the playoffs. This and the best-of-seven series protects the better teams so that upsets have to be earned. It just is not going to happen here. Every other series in the West is going to be a battle of 50-55 win teams, and they are basically going to be coin flips. Not the Lakers. They are still easily the class of the West.
Really bro? lets get real this will be a sweep or we will beat them in 5.
i would rather play the thunder then the blazers or spurs. Artest and kobe taking turns on durant. The lakers bigs going up against kristic, green, ibaka, and collison. I ike the lakers in a tough series that will probably only go 5 games, but be close. Kobe got locked up last game against the thunder and had 9 turnovers and didnt get to 20 points, but before that he had his way the first 3 games against them.
Its funny you keep bring up how Kobe had all these turnovers and fouls, but at the end of the day (3-1) on the season series.Kobe doesn't have to be perfect anymore that's why LA got Pau,Bynum,Artest,Lamar and don't forget big shot Fish. Face it man this series was over before it started just be happy I gave the Thunder the benefit of the doubt and said 5 games.
Thabo Sefalosha should play some good D on Kobe. Aside from that, the Thunder doesn't have the necessary post presence on either end of the court to defend the Lakers. Artest's strength is going to present major problems for Durant.
Thunder won't have a chance unless Durant drops 35+ points in the series and Westbrook has 20 and 10.
nobody can shut him down, but if he can limit Durant to like 18-20 ppg for the series, they can beat them in 5. Watch out for Westbrook though, IMO he may go off on Fisher, Kobe may have to guard him...I think 6 gamesmax.
i think the thunder might be able to win 2 games....1 for sure. Durant is just an oddity.
I'll give the Thunder one game. The Lakers will turn it up in the playoffs. The Thunder have no answer for the Lakers in the paint. Kobe will defend Durant in the key moments of the fourth and shut him down like he's done a few times this season.
I don't think the Lakers are the best matchup for the Thunder. Utah or Dallas would've been a better matchup.
