Thoughts on Inbound Rule?

Watching the Jazz-Thunder game got me thinking, what are your thoughts on when a team scores, then the other team calls a timeout and gets the ball at halfcourt.

In college you don't get this and I like it like that. I don't see why just for calling a timeout you should advance the ball to halfcourt. I see that it makes games more exciting but it's kinda unfair to the team that is winning.

Thoughts?

delfam's Rule Question

delfam, I agree with you. I always felt the rule gave the team calling a timeout an extra, unearned advantage.

I also think they should reduce the number of team timeouts in both college and pro ball. They already have numerous media timeouts so why give each team a ton of timeouts that seem to never end.
